Default Bicycling - areas INSIDE WDW

We love to bicycle as a family. For anyone familiar - we LOVE bicycling at Hilton Head - peaceful and so scenic. We've never taken the time to look for a place at WDW to bicycle and on our next few visits we will have a bit more time to adventure when not at parks. I think we may have bicycled at CBR once - it was ok. I'm looking for 3+ miles and lots of scenery. Ideas?

The Crescent Lake area is nice although you have to stick to the path around the lake. You cannot bike on the path to DHS or over by Swan/Dolphin. The lake is around 3/4 mile around.

Ft. Wilderness is a good place for a longer, scenic ride.

    1) Some resorts have bike paths/routes.
. . . internal paths are for walking only
. . . they do not allow bikes, skateboards, etc
. . . you can rent surrey bikes at some resorts
    2) I would NEVER venture onto WDW streets with all the vacationers and wackos.

You could pedal a couple of miles easy at Fort Wilderness. If memory serves, there is a trail between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge as well.
