Poly Lobby Renovation

As much as we love the Poly, and its lobby, I've thought for years the lobby was due for a face lift, especially given what they charge for a room. That said, now that it's happening, I sure hope it turns out right, because we have grown attached to it.

Do you agree or disagree with the decision to renovate the lobby?

its hard to say, the lobby has so much tradition, but a face lift is only going to make it better.

I'll have to see before a final decision but they are tearing out a central part of the story of the Polynesian and it's a beautiful back story told in many of the features that are now bring destroyed. The hotel was built when the company was still about telling stories in everything it did. The company now just builds things and doesn't tell stories as much.

But since this is now about building hotels and has abandoned the Disney brothers story telling legacy, we'll have to see how it turns out.
