    'nuff said!

Sad to say, it was actually better than the Sci-Fi channels reboot and attempt at an original series, now that was bad.

Here is a few more that popped into my head that were truly terrible.

    George Lucas' "Howard the Duck"
    Ishtar
    Leonard Part 6 (Bill Cosby)
Batman & Robin (Clooney & Arnold stinker)
    Battlefield Earth (John Travolta)
    Lost in Space
    The Avengers
    Superman IV

Oh yeah, and pretty much any movie that Adam Sandler is in.

Yeah, my son is 22 now and I still haven't forgotten the how tedious and inane that movie was. The guy next to me (a stranger) got up to get his kids snacks every ten minutes. He was smart--I made the mistake of getting Jake his popcorn, soda and Milk Duds before the movie started, so I had no excuses.

We once went to a Meryl Streep movie based on a positive review in the Boston Globe - anyone remember "Death Becomes Her"? Certainly not my cup of tea!

Agreed...terrible movie. Not a Streep fan to begin with but that movie was so bad.

The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite movies...but thinking about the rest of them, I do agree that they aren't that good.

Oh and I would like to add Man of Steel, the next Superman reboot that came out last year. I love Amy Adams, hated the movie!

2012 and I love over the top SiFi, but 3 plane escapes and those boats at the end. Dune, love the books wish this movie had never been made.

The movie improves a bit if you can catch the director's/extended cut. The theatrical release chopped a lot out of it. It was really too big a book to try get into a movie. The casting of and portrayal of the Harkonen's was really bad. I remember (after reading all the books at that time) that when I saw it in the theater that they handed out a "terms" glossary.

In 2000 and 2003 they did a miniseries. I think they combined Dune - Dune Messiah into one series, then Children of Dune into another. Give them a try, as I recall they do better justice to the books.

As an aside, if you haven't read them, give the new Dune series (By Herbert's son and a co-writer) a shot, they are very well done and carry on the tradition quite well.

I tried watching the series when it first came on, but couldn't get past the first episode. However I may give them another try. As for the books by his son believe I read 8 of them don't know if there are any more. I have gotten away from reading in the last few years, something I intend to remedy soon. Gonna get reading glasses.

II know it's become a cult classic, but I thought howard the duck was just terrible.

It's funny I have seen Pulp Fiction show up on "The Worst Movie" lists...and "The Best Movie" lists. I didn't care for it, it seemed too long and a lot of nonsense, but my brother in law loves it.

    - Pearl Harbor (Did they really expect us to believe that a guy with a shot gun, shot down a zero? Also the same pilot flying with the Eagle Squadron, at Pearl Harbor, and as part of the Doolittle Raid is a bit of a stretch don't you think?)

    - Avatar (or as I call it Dances with Smurfs)

    - Man of Steel (a building falling on Zod does not kill him, but a WWE style chock hold does?)

    - Last Action Hero

    - Dumb and Dumber (Does it still count if I got up and left before the movie was over?)

I think it depends on your personality. I think Pulp Fiction is great, my wife hates it.

Waterworld - only managed 20 minutes before turning off.
Land of the Lost - One with Will Ferrell. That's 2 hours I'm NEVER getting back!!
Titanic - I know I will get flamed for this but I thought it was clichéd drivel with some jarring inaccuracies. Only watched it as stuck on a 11 hour flight and only film showing. It was in days before individual TV's

    Here's a couple more:

The first Star Trek movie. Stiff acting, cheesy plot, overdone FX, and at least an hour too long.

Any Highlander movie after the original. Just awful, although the TV series wasn't too bad.
    First trip, Christmas 1971.
