Default How often do you get to your room early?

It seems like every time we have showed up around noon or so we have checked in and got into our room early. I was wondering if this happens often.

Since Online Check-In started, I have always had my room ready when I arrived. I generally take the earliest flight in and am at the resort by 10:00 - 10:30am.

The only reason it would not be ready is if I wasn't satisfied with where I was originally put, but even that wasn't a problem on my last trip. 5 minutes at the desk and I was given a room to my liking and it was ready to "move" into.

As a DVC member, I can't remember the last time my room was ready on time, never mind ready early.

It's one thing that really burns me. Check out at 11am and check in not until 4pm (and it's usually been closer to 6).

In the last few years, my room is always ready, even when checking in as early as 9am.

As mentioned online check-in seems to have made a difference as the room is usually ready fairly close to the time I request. Not always. Last week our room wasn't ready until around 3:30, but that's been the exception rather than the norm.

I don't do the online check in, and yet have always had my room ready. This is at ASMu, POR.

The last couple of times it was ready (Polynesian) with what we requested (top floor) and longhouse. We go in November so not sure if that makes a difference (did not do on-line check in).

Last trip, we took an early (6:50-ish,) non-stop flight to Orlando. Hopped right on Magical Express, which pulled out almost immediately afterward, and were at POFQ lobby around 10:00-10:30! Our room was ready!!! Gotta love online check in.

    Rooms ready early:

    Sept 2008 OKW 2 bdrm
    January 2010 VWL 1 bdrm
    February 2013 BWV 2 bdrm

But only a couple of hours early. Checked in about 1:30 - 2 pm.

April 2012 we came in on the train, probably arriving at the resort about 3:30 - 4 and rooms were ready at VWL 1 bdrm and POR Royal Guest room.

Maybe we don't go enough to WDW but I don't recall waiting for rooms even the trips in the 80s, 90s and 00s. Maybe because we often had 3 rooms and requested they be near each other?

Rooms being ready early depends on occupancy rate and checkout times for previous guests.
During really crowded times of year, most rooms are occupied most nights. That means your room was probably occupied the night before you check-in, so If those guests have checked out at 7:00 am, there's a good chance that housekeeping can have the room ready by noon.
But if they don't check out until 11:00 a.m., its very unlikely the room can be cleaned and made ready until later in the afternoon.
During slow times of year, there's a good chance that the room may not have been occupied the night before, so you may be able to get in well before noon in that case.

I don't stay on property often but the times I have, I've gotten in early each time.
