Memory Maker with a Large Group

I've searched the forums, and the internet, but can't find anything conclusive on this. I'd really appreciate help from someone who has been recently, and experienced a similar situation.

There will be 28 of us together in WDW, 17 of which will be together most of the time over four days of our trip. Those 17 are currently linked as Friends and Family on MDE. If just my husband purchases Memory Maker, can all 17 (or even 28) of us be linked to that one MM purchase?

And if so, does that mean that any photo they take will show up on our account? Would my husband need to be present at each ride or photo-taking in order for it to be linked to us?

For example, if my mom and I take the girls to meet Ariel, and my husband and the boys are off on the mine train ride, will all of our photos show up, or just the one from the mine train ride?

As long as your husband is linked to the person that scans their magic band at the Photopass AND everyone has selected the "allow friends and family to see my pictures" option in the MDE settings, then they'll be able to see each other's pics. The trick is to make sure all 28 people are linked to each other as well - that way everyone can see everyone's photos.

A couple things to note: (1) Only your husband's log in will be able to download (and I believe edit & add borders to) the pictures.
(2) The on ride photos and videos will only show up on your husbands account as well.

In the example you gave, assuming everyone is linked to everyone: everyone will be able to see the pictures of you meeting Ariel, BUT only your husband will be able to see his Mine Train photos.

I don't know what Disney's official policy on sharing a MDE password between friends, and I would never recommend doing anything that may potentially break the rules, so I would just say to have your husband download the pictures from his account, then share them with the rest of the people in the party.

Well I haven't done it with a group that large, I just went with my sister. I purchased memory maker. My sister has an account with her husband and two kids on it. I am linked to all of them. She is linked to everyone on my account. I was able to get all the pictures, even ones downloaded to their magic bands and their ride photos (when I wasn't with them).

Just make sure you checked off the rights to see photos when you linked accounts. You want to make sure to link with all the people on the account too, not just the person handling it (ex: I had to link to my BIL, nephew and niece as well even though I was linked to my sister who managed the account).
