    Default How many days?

Hi, we are heading to disneyland in July and this is the first visit for my boys. We've always gone to wdw.

We are going in middle of July. So, how many park days do we need? Looking at either 4 or 5 day park hoppers. How busy is it at that time. We spent 2 weeks in early August at wdw this summer so can deal with crowds. How will july in DL compare with summer at wdw?

Thanks for any help!! Very excited about seeing DL!!

I would do a 4 day pass. I would want to spend 2 days at each park. If you miss something the first day you have the second day to catch up.

The weather is usually VERY nice. We were there a few years ago and the temps, during the days, were in the mid 80's

Crowds were really never an issue! Hope this help! Have a great time at DL!!

We did 4 day hopper passes in January and felt like that was the optimal length of time to see everything that is not an exact duplicate as WDW

I agree with everyone! We had 5 day hopper and found that it was just too long. Talking about our trip after we got home we all agreed that 4 days would have been better. We arrived at the end of July and found the weather pleasant compared to the WDW heat. Crowds were lighter than WDW and we were able to see and do all we wanted without the long lines.

Hope you guys have a great time!

4 days IF you are going during the week. Weekend crowds increase significantly at Disneyland.

Thanks everyone. I wonder if I can add a day if I buy a 4 day and then find I want the 5th day?

July of 2015 will likely be VERY crowded. Disneyland will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary (July 17 is the actual day) and a large year long celebration will be kicking off in May. This is going to increase crowds probably all year long, but particularly around July 17. Plan accordingly.

Also, the last couple summers have been brutally hot due to the ongoing drought conditions. I would not expect "pleasant" weather in July. It will be hot. How hot is the question. You'll have a better idea closer to July.
