Not Mushu or Pascal, although I like the way you are thinking!

OK, Let's recap, and I'll add an extra clue.

    1. I am cool, laid back, hip, but upbeat and funny.
    2. I'm known for my singing. In fact, it's my occupation, I'm an entertainer.
    3. I dress up but I don't wear shoes. (being barefoot is noticeable because I dress up really nice.)
    4. I'm an animated anthropomorphic version of an actual animal that exists in nature.
    5. I'm seen in a feature length animated film released fairly recently.
    5. I have no fur or hair.
    6. I am somebody's pet (sort of).
    7. I have human looking teeth in the movie, but my real life animal counterpart does not have teeth.
    8. I sing with a band/orchestra.

I'm still drawing blanks....the only character I can think of is Gazelle as glorified singer who dresses up. However, she has hair and this was my first guess and it's incorrect. If this movie is from Finding Dory or Big Hero 6 I will not know...I haven't been watching all the new movies except for Zootopia and The Good Dinosaur. I think I will secede from this round...I give up haha. Good luck to the other players.

The movie is not that new; it was released between 2000 and 2010.
And I'm not a main character, just a bit role, but certainly memorable.

I'm thinking primarily about Louis, but I suppose that's probably incorrect or has been guessed already...

Wow, I never though this one would be that hard. When I first saw this movie, I was really drawn to this character, he was so offbeat, but so is the movie itself. OK, Another clue, but surely this one will give it away. (see #9)

Please tell me you're not talking about the frog, Frankie (from Meet the Robinsons)? I actually thought about guessing this a few clues back but then second guessed myself because I thought that nobody remembered that film except for me!

LOL! That movie never crossed my mind...didn't realize it was a Disney movie either! Definitely a great underrated film.

Well of course it's Frankie. No other character could match all those clues! The idea of a singing frog (with his own big band) as a pet was so offbeat and weird, I could never forget him.

Well you should watch it again.
When Wilbur first introduces Lewis to Franny (Wilbur's mom) in the future, she is directing Frankie and his bandmates in a big band swing number, In the flashback scenes, Frankie and his cohorts are her pets; part of her science fair project when everything goes awry. You can Youtube Frankie and see his act.

I'll have to watch this again sometime before I depart for WDW on Friday! I have it on 3D Blu-ray... maybe I'll watch it on Thursday night! I remember there being a great tribute to Walt at the end too!

Yes, it focuses on his memorable "Keep Moving Forward" statement.

OK, here's the next character clues. I'll try to make this one a little easier.

    1. I'm a little dim-witted, not too bright.
    2. My voice actor has a dry, deadpan delivery.
    3. Despite, being not too bright, I'm a great cook!
    4. I'm very strong and fast.
