Default Magic of Disney Animation closing?

Has anyone else heard of this attraction being closed in DHS .? I read a report on the site WDW New Today, that said it was being shut down. Let me know. I loved that place when it was an actual animation studio. I was also wondering with so many attractions being closed at a small park, would Disney lower the admission price for the day? Thanks in advance.

The talks are valid... Doesn't mean 100% it is closing though... Just assume nothing is safe and not be shocked when closures happen...

Lower the admission price? Nope... They would probably raise it...

    Default Raise it?

There's hardly anything to do there right now. I skipped that park last time we went.

Oh no! I hope not. We quite enjoy your time there, and really, they need to start the revamp of DHS before closing anything else.

    Thanks for the chuckle..

They won't lower the price, in fact all the rumors point to an increase. This new ticketing scheme is a price increase, much the same way unbundling park hoppers and no expiration was.

I remember the days that it was a real animation studio too! I was about 12 years old and was in total awe! Now our trip isn't complete without participating in the animation class. We have all of our sketches from over the years. I can't imagine a trip without them!

It is ultimately a failure of Disney management that people did not even know what was there.

I love the Animation Academy where you get to draw the characters. Hope that doesn't close.

The kiddo wanted to draw, we never found it. Just long waits for Mickey and Baymax.

One Man's Dream is rumored to close around this time as well... Nothing concrete on that just yet...

We haven't been there since Oct 2013 for the same reason and we have been to Orlando 3 times since that trip. Rockin Rollercoaster is one of my favorite rides but I can't bring myself to spend the money for that park.

I'm so sad to see this close. I always loved to learn how to draw the characters and this was the one spot to meet Sorcerer Mickey. I sure hope the replacement is worth the wait...

AAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! Booooooooooo! HISS!! I miss the old MGM! The drawing class was a big draw for us. Between this, and not much that interests us in future world at Epcot I am going to the parks less on our trips and doing more resort hopping.

If this is true, it's not acceptable. Disney projects take far too long and in the end never seem to have the "wow" factor anymore. That park (with EPCOT not far behind) is a skeleton of what it once was. I won't spend any more money or time at DHS until they add more attractions.

Well, I read on another site that Bob Iger and the Board of Directors were in Orlando this past week. It is rumored that they approved a large budget (billions) to redo HS. No details about what exactly will be done, but rumors suggest something with Pixar and Star Wars. Hopefully this is true.
