Default Epcot music at Niagara Aquarium

My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary this week. We decided to come to Niagara Falls because it's a place neither one of us have been before. This trip has been absolutely amazing! Right now we're sitting in our hotel room in Canada, overlooking the Falls, getting ready for the their light show and fireworks.

We decided to book a Discovery Pass and one of the attractions is the Niagara Aquarium. Even though it's quaint, it's a fantastic place to visit. Perhaps for me it's because it houses animals I've never seen. They have an exhibit for penguins, seals, and sea lions. The reason I'm writing this is because of the sea lion show. For today's 1pm showing they displayed a rescued sea lion and her one year old pup. During the pup's performance, they played music from Epcot's Illuminations! I was already loving the place, but when that music began, it sealed the deal. I became emotionally involved. I didn't want to leave.

I wanted to share this because I wasn't expecting this treat. I'm having such a great time that I want everyone to experience Niagara Falls at least once in their lifetime.

Isn't it funny how those little unexpected surprises can mean so much, for me they're the moments I tend to remember the most.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and Happy Anniversary!

A lot of music used in World Showcase at EPCOT is not Disney music...probably true for the Fireworks Music also.

I just love the Niagara Falls area. It is such a cool place. We have gone 3 times throughout the years and would like to make another trip someday. To me it's like going to Washington DC, I never tire of it. Glad you are enjoying yourself!

We drive by the Niagara Aquarium every time we cross over to the US, and we've always wondered if it was worth a stop.

Glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad to know it is worth a stop when we're in the area.

That is awesome! I grew up in Fonthill, 20 minutes outside of the falls. Boy, have things changed since I was a kid. We took the falls for granted then, but now we live an hour away- closer to Toronto- and we spend the night in the falls when they have cheap getaways. It's a fun place to be for sure!

Enjoy your trip! The Keg on the 9th floor of The Embassy Suites hotel has really good steak and a great view of the falls. It's a chain and the entrees are a few dollars more expensive than the average Keg, but the view is worth it!

We ran into a couple yesterday on the incline railway that is staying at Embassy Suites. We had a nice little chat with them. They seemed very pleased with their view. They were on a floor up in the 20s. We're staying at the Marriott Fallsview and our room is on the 11th floor. Our view is AMAZING so I can only imagine how much more incredible it is for those higher up.

The other thing I enjoy about visiting an international vacation spot is meeting people from all over.

We had stayed at the Marriott Fallsview before and it's also a nice hotel. More and more if there is not a Lowes or Omni in the area I have been booking the Embassy because I have always found them to be reasonable, clean & updated, and love the separate rooms and all of the extra space they have. The free buffet breakfast is a great value too.
