Default Best way to get to Wilderness Lodge.

We will arrive Nov 6th and will be staying at POFQ. We have lunch reservations at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. What is the best way to get there?

    Thanks

If you are trying to get directly from POFQ to Animal Kingdom Lodge using just WDW transportation, you will need to go one of 2 routes:

    1) Take a bus to AK (closest park) and then transfer to a AKL bus.
    2) Take the boat from POFQ to Disney Springs and then transfer to a bus to AKL.

Unfortunately, there are no busses that go from one resort to another (unless you count the resorts that share route, but AKL and POFQ definitely do not do that.)

The quickest option would be to take a cab if you do not have a car.

...and remember you are heading to Animal Kingdom Lodge, not Wilderness Lodge. If you have never been out to AKL you are in for a treat, it's beautiful!

I would probably also recommend taking a bus to the Animal Kingdom, and then catch another bus to the AK Lodge.

I will tell you, though - for years, people have talked about a cab ride being the easiest mode of transportation sometimes. Recently (when we don't have our own car), I've been more inclined to take a cab from time to time. It's probably $15 or so for the trip from POFQ to AKL. And instead of leaving an hour before your lunch reservation, you can probably leave 20-30 minutes before.

    Enjoy Sanaa - it's amazing.

Just a comment on the #2 option, from my personal experience, I have found bus service from the Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) area to be deplorable - OR - I just have miserable luck. If you choose that option, make sure you build in enough time.

The #1 option, would be the one I would do, if I wanted to use Disney transportation.

I would say the first bus to ANY park from POFQ. Then, the AKL bus from that park.

I would double-agree. EXCEPT for Magic Kingdom, it just takes you further away from AKL.

I would personally take a taxi, so much easier than the whole double-bus transfer thing.

Also remember that the Animal Kingdom Lodge has two areas that are connected but quite a walk. When you take the bus to the Lodge make sure you get off at the right stop for Sanaa.

Thanks for all the answers, special thanks to BowTie7. Have only been to Animal Kingdom Lodge one time to attempt to watch the animals at night, took us 2 nights try because we didn't know about the two different areas kind of confusing
