    Default Quick Trip Jan 27 - 31st (Days 1 and 2)

Just got back yesterday from a trip to the World and had a great time again!
It was my DS and I for some quality time before he moves to Cali in August. He is my mini me and appreciates everything Disney.

Wednesday - Landed at MCO around 11:30 a.m. to some sprinkles and clouds but we didn't care! Our bags were ready quickly and our driver was waiting. We usually do Magical Express but since we were staying at the Dolphin we did not have that choice

Arrived at the Dolphin and was disappointed that there was no one to direct us to the check in counter but the lobby was beautiful and I asked for a balcony and request was granted.

Left our bags with Bell services and off to the Studios. We went the wrong way (wanted to walk) and ended up just going on the boat, bag check was easy and I got selected to go through the metal detector.

We had FP+ for Tot, TSM and Star Tours but except for TSM did not really need it. We even got on RR without much of a wait. Disappointed that the that World of Walt movie was a sneak peak of Zootopia but then ended up loving it. We also went in the Star Wars Launch Bay which was a very nice addition. We then had a great meal at Prime Time Cafe. Waiter was good and we very happy.

Back to the boat to the Dolphin and front desk to get key and then room to get to bed early.

Day 2 - We did not want to get up to alarm but of course I was up at 5:30! We wanted to go to Kona Cafe for breakfast and was going to take bus to MK and then boat to Poly. However I looked and saw Epcot and they were having EMH so we decided to walk through and take monorail. I was again selected for metal detector screening (it was quick) and walked through a very empty Epcot. Even at 8:40 in Future World there was no one there. We took a quick ride on Spaceship Earth and off to Kona.

Had a great meal (We usually stay the Poly when we can) and took monorail to MK. I had FP+ for Peter Pan, Space and TMR. We really didn't them as all wait times were under 30. We even went on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (posted 40 but probably 25). Also got on CoP (we love this!), JC (great captain) and Philamagic. It really started to rain so what did we do? We went on TMR (we would have done Splash but it was closed) and got soaking wet! We had fun!

Took the bus back to Dolphin, changed and dried off. We took the boat over to Epcot and made our way to our ADRs at Le Chefs France. Great meal and thanks to the Dolphin for complimentary umbrellas!

We were to meet friends at Disney Spring but given the weather we decided to stay at hotel. We had a nice visit, got an ice cream at "The Fountain" (best soft serve I ever had) and took a stroll along the Boardwalk and Beach Club since the weather was clearing.

    Overall thoughts:

It was weird not taking Magical Express but it was probably quicker even waiting for our bags.

Dolphin - For the price we paid (170 after resort fee and taxes) you can't beat the location. I wouldn't say anyone was overly friendly, front desk was very professional but that was it. I did not like on the first day having to go back to get the key. Even without using Magic Bands they could have given us our key but not have it activated until room was ready. I will write more under but those are my initial thoughts.

Parks (including bathrooms) were clean and staff was very friendly.

We had just been at Disney in July and I was still just so happy to be there! It never gets old to me.

I really liked your review and enjoyed seeing that fun can be hand in the rain!

Nice that you didn't seem to encounter crazy crowds, too! Thanks for sharing.

Nice trip! While the weather didn't cooperate, it may have worked to your advantage and kept some of the crowds away!!
