WDW Weather Forecast - February 28-March 15, 2016

I'll update this first post each day with the forecast (though I'll occasionally miss a day), both long and short term. As a general rule, up to 7 days is a pretty accurate forecast, beyond that it's educated guessing and largely dependent upon how well the models are doing at that moment, which is why I call it "voodooland." If you have any specific weather questions or comments, even if it's for an area other than WDW, please post and I'll answer throughout the thread. I'll also post weather tidbits every so often. Without further delay, let's get to the forecast:

Weather at WDW - Update Sunday pm, February 28, 2016
It's a beautiful Sunday at WDW with a high of 73. No rain for tomorrow or Tuesday with highs 76-78 and 78-80 respectively. Scattered showers are possible on Wednesday. It doesn't look like any strong storms or significant rain will occur but still keep a poncho handy. The high will run around 80. Other than a minimal shot at a brief sea breeze shower in the afternoons Thursday through Sunday looks dry. The high on Thursday will be 68-70, then 70-72 for Friday and Saturday and 75-77 on Sunday.

Long range...March 7-11 stays dry with highs around 80. Maybe even low 80s. Strong storms move in on March 12. March 13-15 returns to being dry with highs in the mid to upper 60s for March 13-14 and low 70s for March 16.

Travel Issues
No major issues today. There's a slight chance of severe weather over Oklahoma tomorrow.

As I arrive the evening of March 9th (3/9-3/13), my trip is now in voodooland range ! Though I do not like those initial temperature predictions, so I will be hoping for a change in the models and higher temperatures as my dates get closer!

Model changes are pretty common in voodooland so you should get your wish.

As we have tickets for Phillies vs. Braves at Disney on March 11th, I am sticking pins in my voodoo doll to hopefully change that storm !

Chris is going to be busy for a bit, so I am going to do my best to give you some weather information based off the Orlando TV weather forecasts in his absence, especially since I will be at WDW myself in a week.

From WESH 2:

Wednesday Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northeast winds around 5 mph becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.

Friday Night Clear. Lows in the lower 50s.

Saturday Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday Night Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s.

Sunday Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday Night Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s.

Monday Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.

Monday Night Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s.

Tuesday Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.
