Can MK fireworks be seen from Shades of Green?

As Shades of Green guests, can we walk to the Polynesian and watch the lighted parade on the Lagoon?

It's hit or miss. If you go to the very top of the parking garage, you can see some of the fireworks. But there are some trees in the line of vision as well. You can also see Epcot from the top of the parking garage. You can definitely walk over to the Poly to see the fireworks and water pagent from the beach.

We stayed in wing room 117. Our room faced MK towards magnolia pool. DD was two at the time and we would come back to our room and rock her to sleep out on the patio with a beautiful view of fireworks. Yes it is quite different than being in the park but we never felt like we missed any magic. In fact, looking back on the trip it is one of my most cherished memories. Yes, you can walk to Ploy and have a great view too. Depends on what your looking for. You can also walk to Poly take the monorail to Contemporary and go to viewing on 4th floor. On our last trip we made it a game on how many ways we could watch fireworks without being in the park.

And is this what Family and Disney is all about or what? Sounds idyllic.

Take advantage of the AAFES shop. They have all sorts of items cheaper than the parks. I know many will argue this with me but we have always enjoyed SOG transportation. NEVER had to wait for a second bus. Last time we stayed at POP, had to wait for the 4th bus to get back from EPCOT. Always liked Evergreens for a decent meal. Grabbing quick breakfast at the grab and go will be alot cheaper than waiting to grab something in the park. Don't forget to take a picture with military Mickey in front lobby. Last time we arrived at 7:00am checked in and had front desk text when room was ready. It worked great. Take advantage of walking to Poly to grab resort monorail or boat to MK. It's a fun experience and also not a ton of people. Don't forget to get your Dole Whip at the Poly that way you don't have to wait in line in the park.
