    Default WDW Weather Forecast - January 27-Feb 12, 2017

I'll update this first post each day with the forecast (though I'll occasionally miss a day), both long and short term. As a general rule, up to 7 days is a pretty accurate forecast, beyond that it's educated guessing and largely dependent upon how well the models are doing at that moment, which is why I call it "voodooland." If you have any specific weather questions or comments, even if it's for an area other than WDW, please post and I'll answer throughout the thread. I'll also post weather tidbits every so often. Without further delay, let's get to the forecast:

Weather at WDW - Update Friday pm, January 27, 2017
We saw a high of 65 today and are headed for an overnight low of 43. Look for a high around 60 tomorrow under partly cloudy skies. Showers look likely late tomorrow evening through Sunday morning but I think things will clear out by early afternoon. Sunday's high should be around 55. Monday through Friday looks dry. The high Monday will be 57-59, then 62-64 on Tuesday, then up to 71-73 for Wednesday through Friday.

Long range...Feb 4-5 look mostly dry, maybe a quick shower on the 5th, with highs in the low 70s. Showers are likely for Feb 6. Feb 7-8 are dry with highs in the upper 60s to around 70 before another round of rain on Feb 9. Feb 10-11 are dry and in the mid to upper 60s. It looks like another round of rain and colder air comes right after.

    Travel Issues
No major issues today or tomorrow.

Any of you who are nervous about flying, especially related to turbulence, go here and here to learn a lot about turbulence and other issues that sometimes cause anxiety when flying. Hopefully all of this will help you relax and enjoy the trip to WDW more!

Going even beyond voodoo long range - any thoughts what the first half of February will be like? We are hoping it will be warmer than the UK!

There's a good chance it'll be warmer than normal. Impossible to say for sure but that's what the general trend suggests.

Unfortunately, rain looks pretty consistent on Saturday for a good chunk of the day. It's possible there could be clearing late in the afternoon or evening, depending upon the timing of the front. On Sunday with a high around 50 and winds 15-20 mph there will definitely be a wind chill factor at play. I expect the wind chill to be in the 30s most of Sunday. Keep in mind, also, that in Orlando it's a "wet" cold so the air feels colder with the humidity than a dry cold.

I'm watching this post avidly now as we fly out Tuesday. The temperatures seem to change each time I look at it - rather like a forecast in the UK which probably changes by the hour rather than the day

That's not too far off! The models tend to get crazy this time of the year.
