Off-site hotels near Disney?

Hi All, we are booking a last minute trip for the weeks after Easter and all our fave resorts onsite are booked. Can anyone suggest a moderately priced hotel ($160-220/night) hotel near Disney that is nice for families? Must have nice pool/outdoor area and family friendly restaurants?

I've heard good things about Wyndham Bonnet Creek, I think we're going to stay there.

Its not a hotel, but my family likes to stay in a 3 bed, 3 bath townhouse in Windsor Hills (about 2 miles from Disney). The company we rent through has everything from a 2 bed 2 bath Condo, to 11 bedroom houses. The condos and Town homes are usually in the price range you mentioned, but I am not sure they will be for a Holiday weekend. Windsor Hills has a nice community pool, and all the town homes and houses have private pools. The real disadvantage of these places is that you have to have a car. The advantage is that you have lots of space and can cook your own meals. We usually only have breakfast in the townhouse, but it saves us a ton over what breakfast would cost in the Resort. We stayed at the Doubletree at Disney Springs in December. My kids loved the hotel- it was a huge 2 room suite with a kitchenette. We went with my parents, and my 2 little ones. It was walking distance to DS, and had a great buffet breakfast every morning. If you book through the Mouse Savers link, you can get a really good rate that includes the breakfast. The pool was somewhat small, but never crowded. It is a smaller hotel, but it was nice and quiet, and very clean. It has a small splash pad and small playground and an outdoor bar. We usually rent DVC or stay at a Deluxe but wanted to try something new and cheaper. We all liked it. I think probably any hotel in the Disney Springs area- there are like 7 hotels on that road- would be good. And they all have buses that go to the parks every 30 minutes. Overall, it wasn't quite as exciting as staying at a "Disney" resort, but still very enjoyable and for a fraction of the price. And with some Disney amenities, like Disney gift shop and buses. The Hilton has a huge pool area and is right across from DS.

The Waldorf and Gaylord have had some great rates from time to time. Those are great. I've been there on business, not vacation, but would go there. I've tried all of the Embassy Suites, and they are horrible.

There's a good Starwood Preferred rate right now at the Dolphin and Swan. I've stayed at the Dolphin before and loved it. It's close enough to the parks (walking distance to Epcot) that it's the most immersive experience you can have without technically being at a Disney property. It's lovely. And, all of the Swan rooms have been recently renovated and the Dolphin rooms are in progress.
