As mentioned, yes you can.
Here's the thing to remember: the ability to make dining reservations is completely separate from, and not dependent on, whether you have a Disney resort reservation or not. Anyone can make an ADR up to 180 days from today. That ADR can be for however many people you want.
Where having a resort reservation does come into play is that at 180 days before check in date, Disney resort guests can make ADRs not only for that day but also for the 9 days following (10 days total). You'll see this referred to as 180 +10. Only the person making the ADR, you in this case, needs to be on a room reservation in order to take advantage of this perk. At that point it is irrelevant if the other people on the ADR are resort quests or not.
