Default New MK Opening best route?

We have not been back to MK since they started the new opening at the Castle. First thing we want to go to Peter Pan as soon as the ropes drop. What is our best route? Not sure how things work since the Castle will have a show just finishing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We were there 2 weeks ago to watch the opening show. We stood near Walt's statue and went through the castle after the show. It was a minute or two to wait for the castle passageway to open. We headed for It's a Small World and the line at Peter Pan was already outside. I would suggest going around the castle, rather than through, because people were moving on the walkways around the castle before we were.

It is just a gut feeling, but if I were trying to ride Peter Pan first I would go through liberty square. I think there will be less little kids on that route (meaning the traffic should move faster), and I think most guest going that way will be turning left to head to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain.

We were there in March, and wanted to ride 7DMT first thing, so we hung out on the walkway around to the right of the castle, by the Merida Meet 'n' Greet. They hold you partway up the walkway, but you can't really see the opening show. I'm assuming that they do the same up the other side of the castle. So, there is a choice to make. Want to be first on the ride? OK, but you can't see the show. Want to see the show? Fine, but you'll wait at whatever ride you choose.

Also, I believe that they now open the entire park at the same time. No more opening Main Street/Fantasyland/Tomorrowland at one time, and then Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square at another time. So going up around the Hall of Presidents and Columbia Harbor House might be the way to go.

Next up - January 2023 short trip! We just want to try that 50th Anniversary chocolate monstrosity at Mexico!
