    Default Changes for MVMCP

It is being reported that there will be some changes to how things go for the party. Party guests can still enter the park at 4pm. But in an effort to empty the park before 7pm they will be closing all the rides from 6 -7pm. This is to try and get non party ticket holders out of the park before 7pm. Will be interested to see how this will work

    Just to clarify...

Attractions in MK will close at 6pm FOR NON-PARTY GUESTS.

I believe that you will still be able to take advantage of attractions in the 6 - 7 hour IF YOU SHOW YOUR MVMCP TICKET.

They weren't very clear on that point, but they did push the first point.

Yoou are right they were not very clear about whether they would be closed to all or just non party guests. Hopefully there will be some clarification before the parties start

Hmmm...Wouldn't this be the equivalent of closing the park at 6 pm for non-party guests??? Would they still be advertising that the park would be open until 7 for non-party guests??

The attractions will close to non-party guests, but the stores will remain open to all until 7pm. They are trying to usher all the non-party guests out by the 7pm start of the party. By closing the attractions, non-party goers will (naturally) start making their way out of the park beginning at 6 rather than 7. At least that is the logic I see in this move.

In my book, this effectively closes the park at 6 rather than 7. If I go to a park that is open until 7, I want to be able to ride attractions until that time - not shop for an hour.

If you look at the Park Hours for days with MVMCP, you can see that they HAVE changed the 'official' closing time to 6pm.

I haven't had occasion to look at the park hours recently. Making 6 the official closing time makes complete sense.

I don't see a problem with closing the attractions to get people out. But in all fairness, I don't think you should be allowed in earlier than 7.
Your attention please, the Walt Disney World Railroad is now boarding for a trip around the Magic Kingdom

I agree with you to an extent, I can see starting at 6P, distributing bands, and escorting them to a holding area. If I remember correctly years ago we were held in Tomorrowland until the start of the party.
