Since the rumor is out there that Verizon wants to buy Disney, maybe they would take over and keep the 'idea' of Spaceship Earth communications...just with a lot of Verizon and FIOS overlays. Don't know what they would do with/to Illuminations...Give all the people in the videos on the globe cell phones??? JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

Say it ain't so! I'd much rather see an Apple-Disney deal.

I get that Siemens, Dow and HP don't have much flash and maybe aren't quite the brands they used to be. However it's a shame you don't see the likes of Apple, Google and Tesla jumping into the fray. Granted Tesla is a tough sell with GM already at Epcot, but the idea is still relevant.

I do not think Disney would give Apple, Google or Tesla enough "control" over their own brands. Disney tends to go with the the "it's my way or the highway" approach to other businesses (hence they lost JK Rowling's IP)

Great, the ride narrated by "Bob" should make it a great attraction.

Which is rumored to be the reason they lost Siemens as a sponsor. They weren't willing to compromise with them on placement of Siemens' branding. They are going to have a hard time negotiating deals with that mindset in today's business environment.
