We docked this morning in Villefranche, France which is a tender port. It was an another amazing view when we looked out off our balcony this morning. We grabbed breakfast and headed fairly early to a tender to shore, we had another busy day in store. We walked from the tender to the train station (not as far as yesterday) and bought tickets to Nice. No problem getting the train and then we took yet another type of train down to the coastal area. We walked through a cute local market of fruits, veggies, cheese and flowers. Then we walked down to the shore, the beach was made with round medium rocks instead of sand. The beach was full of older guys in speedos and women (some topless) just lounging in the exceptional weather. It was around 80 and sunny. We strolled along the ocean walkway which was not open to cars. Then we walked back to the second train area and grabbed a snack from a local French bakery-yummmmmm. There was also a nice park with a dancing fountain and we took some photos an videos before taking two different trains over to the country of Monaco and the town of Monte Carlo. We had a short day in port today so we rushed to buy return train tickets (find a bathroom) and quickly walk to the top of a very steep hill for the views of the palace of the prince and views down to the opulent harbor area. We oooh and ahh ed at the views and then walked our way back down the big hill, back to the train and back to Villefranche to catch the tender back to the ship.

We had a super late lunch on the ship (4pm ish) and just rested a bit. Another round of showers, a few cocktails, dinner and some time in the casino and it was another day in the books!

Next up-Barcelona!
