    Default Disney Springs dining?

Seems there are so many new dining establishments in Disney Springs that I don't even know where to start! We will be arriving early morning and plan to stop by Disney Springs before going to our resort. The plan is to activate our military tickets, do a little shopping, and have lunch before we head to our hotel.

Of all the new places that have opened over the past few years the only place we have tried so far is The Boathouse. We love it, but have dined there twice already and would like to try something new.

Any suggestions? Places you have tried and loved? Places to avoid? It will be myself and 3 teens, 18, 18, 16.

We love Raglan Rd as its a must for our every trip. They have Irish dancers there but not sure if they are there for lunch. We always do dinner. Very good food with a varied menu with a little something for everyone.

Rain forest is also good we will be having dinner there on our upcoming trip in Sept. there portions are huge.

We did not like Planet Hollywood as it is extremely noisy.

    Hope this helps...

There are so many new restaurants there to choose from! We ate at Art Smith's Homecoming last night and love it! Also love Morimoto’s!

We still want to try The Edison and Maria and Enzo’s but haven’t had a chance yet.

De-Lux Burger for lunch! It is amazing! Its a must do for every trip. The burgers are huge and the meat is to die for! Fresh cut fries and about 8 different dipping sauces as many as you want at no additional charge.

    We also Love Art Smiths...

For some great appetizers and fun atmosphere try Jock Lindsey's Hanger Bar too.
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow!

We too love the Boathouse. Here is a list of our current favorites.
    Counter service -
    D-Luxe Burger
    Blaze Fired Pizza
    Wolfgang Puck's at the Marketplace
    The Polite Pig (bbq)
    Table Service-
    Art Smith's Homecomin'
Places we won't be going back to again-
Planet Hollywood, T-Rex, and Rainforest Cafe (because of the noise level)
And sadly Ragland Road since they have changed chefs. On our last trip we found changes made to some of our old favorites and they weren't for the best.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I think we may stick with a CS just because I don't want to be tied down to a specific time. D-Luxe Burger might be a good option. We have a Blaze Pizza about 2 miles from our house and we like it, but its nothing special to us. I am really wanting Earl of Sandwich, but I also want us to try one of the new places.

Morimoto's has become one of our absolute favorites. And keep in mind, they also have a CS location right outside the main restaurant, if you want something simpler and quicker.

That's right! I keep forgetting about the CS option there! i have a son with poultry and seafood allergies so I'll need to check a menu to see if they offer anything he can have.

We loved the Polite Pig our last trip. Morimoto's TS is great so I guess the CS would be as good. I like what I've been reading about the Homecomin', so we are planning on trying that !!

Trex is really different. Kinda like rainforest, but dinosaur themed. Pretty interesting.

We have done Trex before. It was fun when our boys were little but so loud we all left with headaches! Lol. Twice was enough for us!

We have tried almost all of the older restutants. I am really looking for something among the new places that have opened with the revamping of Disney Springs over the last few years. I guess I wasn't very clear in my original post! Lol

Can't wait to try some of these. We are planning on eating at D-Luxe Burger and Art Smith's Homecoming this fall. I have seen a lot of positive reviews on both of these places.

Art Smith's Homecomin' (important to remove the "g") was great when we ate there.

Of the newer places, I've tried Planet Hollywood and the BOATHOUSE. As someone else said, Planet Hollywood was *loud*. Holy cow. But I was seated right off of the big dome/screen/observatory inside, during dinner. Luckily, I was by myself (at a conference), and didn't need to try to hold a conversation. I don't think it would have been possible.

I also tried the BOATHOUSE with some conference attendees. I got the Shrimp and Grits, and it was terrible. The shrimp was so overcooked, I could barely chew it. Seriously, like rubber. My companions said that their meals were OK. Not bad, but not as good as hoped. We shared a double-chocolate bundt cake for dessert, and it was super dry.

So, not impressed with the BOATHOUSE, but I would certainly give it another shot. However, there are a bunch of other new places I'd like to try first. We have ADRs for The Edison on May 1st. So I'll report back then.

Next up - January 2023 short trip! We just want to try that 50th Anniversary chocolate monstrosity at Mexico!

Almost all of the restaurants at Disney Springs honor the DDP. The official Disney website under Things To Do then All Dining has complete info on all restaurants on site with menus and DDP info on if they are accepted or not.

Yeah, I've tried many of the places. Food at any Disney restaurant to me is simply okay, or perhaps just a step above that. Much like the actual resort rooms, its a unique experience I look for. When it comes to unique or superior food, probably not at WDW (Much like the rooms). It can be good or what not. But in many ways, about the same. And, I don't like Italian. I would like to try the redone planet hollywood, and see if its any better.

The last time we were in Disney Springs, we ate at Paradiso 37, Morimoto and Raglan Road and enjoyed all three. Always love the food, music and atmosphere at RR and we had a lovely water view table at Paradiso 37. We also stopped and had a cocktail at the Hangar Bar--loved that place!

On my to-do list for next time are The Edison and Paddlefish.
