Default Question about FP during morning EMH

We will be going to DHS on a day with AM EMH. I assume the FP do not start until the regular park hours. Is this correct?

That is correct. Typically, crowd levels are low enough for Morning EMH that you don't need FP+.

The key word is "Typically." If you are going during any of the really crowed weeks like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. the park with morning EMH will be packed. For example last Thanksgiving I made the mistake of going to AK on a day with morning EMH, by 8 am when the park opened to all guest, the wait for FOP was already 5 hours.

Well, to be honest, FOP is not a typical attraction since it opened! Very long waits at park opening, whether EMH or not, has been the norm. The line backs up very quickly to 2, 3, 4, and even 5 hours initially. Add in a big holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas.... it can get crazy!

A large majority of the attractions are very doable with stand-by during EMHs. And keep in mind, since there is no FP during EMH, the stand-by lines tend to move more efficiently.
