Default Please help with candlelight processional

While I have 65+ visits under my belt, I have never done this show. Please tell me how it works. Times, how early to be there for the different shows, likelihood of getting a seat, is the package worth it for a good seat? I am there while Neil Patrick Harris is the narrator.
    Thank you!

Dinner package is definitely worth it. Plus you get preferred early seating for the show. Kind of like getting a FASTPASS for the performance. It’s very popular. Folks line up early, so I think the standby line might be a zoo for getting good seats. IMHO

If you are going on a night NPH is there, I would HIGHLY try to get a dining package (as the shows will fill, and standby lines up very early)

The date we are going in a few weeks, the dinner packages were almost sold out when we made our reservation about 6 weeks ago. It is just a few days before you will be there and the narrator for our date has not even been announced yet but it is still almost sold out. With Neil Patrick Harris being the narrator on your night, you better look now because they may be sold out or almost sold out. For standby entrance to seating, people start lining up 2 hours or more early and most often, only a portion get seats because they sell so many dinner packages with seating. The good news is that you can watch it standing in the area behind the seating (the walkway). I don't know that you would want to stand through the entire thing though.

Do whatever you can to see it. If you are a person of faith, you will find it very uplifting. I think it's the best show we've ever seen at WDW. and we've seen them all (at least all the big ones).

LOVE the Candlelight Processional. I have seen it a few times at WDW and once at DL. Very touching when the narrators tell their Christmas recollections and the music is always first rate. The local school choirs along with the CM choir are always on point.

Get the Dining Package, if you can. If they have lunch packages available, you can save a few $$$, but even with the dinner packages it is well worth it.

Couple of performances per night. Don’t recall the actual number, but you can look it up. You can pick if you do the dinner package. The performance lasts about an hour. VERY WELL WORTH SEEING.

Shows are at 5:00, 6:45 and 8:15. If you want to avoid all the hassle, you can just stand in the area in front of the American pavilion and hear the show just fine.

Also - I much rather do the breakfast package. Cheaper and since I usually eat a good breakfast - it takes care of two things are once. We usually do Garden Grill but
The following restaurants also offer breakfast options:

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Breakfast: $65.00 for adults; $38.00 for children
Ale & Compass Breakfast Buffet: $38.00 for adults; $22.00 for children
Garden Grill Breakfast: $48.00 for adults; $28.00 for children
Trattoria al Forno Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast: $52.00 for adults; $30.00 for children

For my money the dinner package has been the way to go. As others have said though, if you can not get in you should be able to hear the show just fine from in front of the American Pavillion. Seeing, while nice is not important in this show, as it is just a mass choir, orchestra and narrator on stage. There is no dancing, visual effects, or videos as part of the show.
