    Default Selecting dates for tickets?

I will be traveling to Disney in February for my daughter's dance team competition, and we won't have the competition schedule for a while. Because of this, when I buy my tickets for Disney, I won't know with 100% certainty what our first day of use will be.

How does it work if I say my first day of use is a Friday when I buy the tickets, but it actually ends up being a Saturday? Or vice versa? How do they know? Will they charge me again if it's more or credit me if it's less? Do I have to modify it ahead of time, or can we just show up on a different day?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can buy the tickets anytime in advance, your first use doesn't happen until the first time you go to a park. If I understand your question.

The new pricing structure for tickets is dependent on when your first day of use will be. When buying the tickets, you have to select the specific date of first use, thus my question.

Perhaps an easier way to consider it is that you pay a fixed price based on the first day you select your Ticket Validity to begin. Different length tickets have differing eligible windows in which you can use them.

There are no credits or charges regarding your actual ticket use after purchase other than forgoing the use of the ticket if not used during you Ticket Validity window. If you need to change your dates beyond the Validity Window, there is no Modification Fee; but you will be charged the difference if the new price on the new start date is higher.

They have made this so very complicated ... I do wonder how they expect people to always know the first day so far in advance? (like with the OP situation)

I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill here. Only on two Fri-Sat pairings are there ANY difference in ticket cost, and on those two -- Feb. 8-9, the price is $1 higher for Saturday and on Feb. 15-16, the price is $1 higher for Friday (Based on a 7-day ticket.) Even a 1-day ticket only varies on Feb 15-16, with the price $7 higher on the Saturday. (Although, the Friday ticket is $8 higher than the preceding and following Fridays. President's Weekend)

Just run the number for the entire time you will be there and you should be fine. The price "difference" should not be a factor.

It's not necessarily the cost, as I know it is minimal. It's more about any hassle I might encounter when I go to use my ticket if I don't show up on the day(s) I originally said I was going to! Thanks for the info everyone.

Yes, they are making it ridiculously complicated.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
