    Default Southwest 737 MAX8

Planning a very short trip to Orlando the middle of April. How can I find out if our flight will or can be affected by the grounding of this plane?

Did get an email from the airlines but nothing specific about our flight other than no charge to change or cancel the flight.

Thanks for your help! I know someone on this board will have an answer.

They will probably have it all figured out by then.

If you haven't already been told that your flight is cancelled or changed, you should be fine. Southwest has a large fleet, most of which are NOT the Max8 models, and can handle taking a number of planes 'offline' for a while.

If you go to SW web site and act like you we going to book your flight when that info comes up you can click on the flight number and it will tell you which plane is scheduled to be used. My flight in Sept hass me on a 737-700 and 737-800.

Most 800 max models are used for long haul such as LA to Ny, they were also going to be used for flights to Hawaii. They also may make stops along the way. (except for Hawaii )

    Hope this helps..
