Default Is Galaxy's Edge really empty?

I've been reading that there haven't been huge crowds for Galaxy's Edge. Is this true?

Perhaps not empty, but the combination of the Virtual Queue and Black-Out Dates for most Annual Passholders have yielded relatively light crowds in the land compared to many expectations.

It looks like Smuggler's Run has been averaging between 60 - 90 minutes with a few spikes in the 120 - 160 minute range.

I think today was the first day after the passholder black out, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

There may be a lot of people waiting until Phase II opens (Dec. 5th) with Rise Of The Resistance. As Jason (Figment!) stated, the black-out of Silver and Gold (?) [Florida Resident] AP's may have had an effect as well.

Rise of the Resistance does not open in Disneyland until January 15, 2020. If will open in Disney World first on December 5th. Surprised that it is opening in DW first

As of 4ish PST today Smuggler's Run has a 55 minute wait and Radiator Springs has a 60 min wait for comparison.

Seems like the Virtual Queue is still keeping things in check, although some Cast and pundits have comment that overall park crowds are unseasonably low at the moment.

I did not realize that was the plan. Thanks for the info. I guess I assumed the openings would both be first at DL. Going to make for a crazy holiday season at DW!

It appears they are having construction issues at Disneyland.
