Break of Dawn

To accommodate early risers taking advantage of the Extra Extra Magic Hours for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, several of Walt Disney World’s most popular food courts are expanding their hours. Now through September 30th, the food courts at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the 3 All Star Resorts will open at 4:15 am for breakfast.

Previews in Flight

As the Disney Skyliner grand opening quickly approaches Cast Previews have now been scheduled. Cast Members previews will be held September 16 – 18 and 23 – 26. General Public Previews (or Soft Openings) could be offered September 27 & 28 just ahead of the grand opening on September 29th.

Shopping Shake-Up

Keystone Clothiers and Legends of Hollywood have both re-opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The expanded Legends of Hollywood store now features unique handbags and accessories, Citizen watches, and a full Pandora shop. Keystone Clothiers (as many expected) has become a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise outpost of sorts. The store primarily carries a variety of merchandise inspired by the land in a more traditional Theme Park presentation not found inside the in-story retail locations in Galaxy’s Edge. The store does contain a limited selection of merchandise from the Creature Stall inside Galaxy’s Edge. If you are looking to take home a creature and would like to avoid a potential crowd, you may want to check Keystone Clothiers first to see if they are carrying your item of interest.

6/2/19 Keystone Clothiers, and Legends of Hollywood are now slated to re-open from their refurbishments in September 2019.

3/15/19 Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to makes changes to several retail locations. To complete the previously announced expansion into the former Planet Hollywood Super Store location, Legends of Hollywood has closed for a multi-month refurbishment. Keystone Clothiers on Hollywood Blvd has also closed for a multi-month refurbishment. With both projects slated to re-open in Summer 2019; it is speculated that they are tied to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening in either new store content or more open layouts to better accommodate larger crowds.

2/3/19 Sunset Blvd. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has had some significant shop switches in recent years. After the total replacement of its two corner stores, change is making its way further down the boulevard. The Planet Hollywood Super Store closed on February 2, 2019. The next door Legends of Hollywood is reportedly planned to expand into the former location.

Buses with Character

The Walt Disney World bus fleet continues to get a makeover at Walt Disney World. In addition to the 'Sensational Six' designs revealed in July 2019 ; the fleet has started to debut designs showcasing Disney, Pixar, and Marvel films including Moana, Frozen, Monsters Inc., Lion King, Dumbo, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Sky High Prices

Fireworks aren’t the only things rocketing into the sky at the Magic Kingdom, the prices for the park's popular dessert parties are undergoing a significant price increase. Effective February 2020, he Tomorrowland Terrace Seating option is increasing $15 to $99 per adult Guest, the Plaza Garden Viewing option is increasing $10 to $79 per adult Guest, and the After Fireworks Desserts option is increasing $20 to $89 per adult Guest. Tickets for child Guests are also increasing by $9 (to $59), $6 (to $47), and $12 (to $53) for the same options respectively.

Right on Target

The on-property Target store announced at the 2019 D23 Expo has an official home. The Target store will be part of a forthcoming addition to the Flamingo Crossing complex in addition to a Walgreens and Speedway according to recent construction permits. These new additions will be joined by 26 other retail or dining locations and 3 more hotels upon the complex’s completion.
