It All Replaced a Mouse

11/30/19 Mickey Mouse’s 91st birthday month was not his best at Walt Disney World. The Spice and Tea Exchange store-in-a-store location expanded replacing Mickey’s Pantry in the Disney Springs Marketplace. The newly expanded Spice and Tea Exchange features a wider selection of items including candles, dry goods, drink mixes, soy wax, and other small batch or gourmet items. Although the expanded selection, it does not appear that any Disney branded items or unique to Walt Disney World items are being offered at the time of the expansion. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Star Traders has become just “Star Traders” after a recent refurbishment. The Mickey’s moniker and décor were all removed as part of the refurbishment leaving the store with a somewhat sterile, atomic age aesthetic.

‘Tis the Time to Light the Lights

12/21/19 The Muppets are returning to the Magic Kingdom for a limited time engagement. The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History will be shown in Liberty Square December 23 – 31, 2019. Although no future dates have been announced, this current run may indicate that the show has moved to Seasonal Operation rather than permanently ceasing operation in October 2019.

Joe for the Journey

12/21/19 As EPCOT continues its reimagining, the park has been sans Starbucks since the Fountain View Café closed. This shortage is expected to end soon as a new location appears to be nearing the end of construction. The new Traveler's Café will be located between the current Refreshment Port and the EPCOT Rose Garden.

Return-o-Rama

12/21/19 Primeval Whirl in the Dino-Rama section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is continuing to operate as a Seasonal attraction. After a recent Seasonal Operational period around Thanksgiving 2019; the attraction is schedule to return to operating December 22-31, 2019 and January 1-4, 2020.

Springing Into Refurbs

12/21/19 The Magic Kingdom has announced a late spring refurbishment for one of its most popular attractions. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently schedule to be closed for refurbishment from May 4 – 21, 2020.

Christmas in the Kingdom

12/21/19 The Magic Kingdom has an extra Christmas present for Guests visiting over the holiday this year. From December 23 – 29th, 2019; the park will offer its Christmas overlays for Space Mountain, the Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor during normal daily operation.
