Maleficent

We've been to WDW in July, August, December, January, February, April, and June in the past few years. Never once have we run into Maleficent - and not for lack of trying (including calling the "Chip Hotline" daily!).
Any ideas of where and when we could meet her?!?!?
And please don't tell me to see her during the parades!!! [img]graemlins/shakehead.gif[/img]

In 25+ trips, we've seen her one time and that was in Fantasy Land a few years ago. [img]graemlins/mickey.gif[/img]

I've only seen her out on sets a couple times, myself. I do have some great shots of her at FCF with and without Jafar, too, from that one day where I got to spend a few hours with her.

FCF stands for Fantasyland Character Festival. It use to be across from the Winnie the Pooh ride (and Mr. Toad before that), but is now gone. I saw Malificent once there, but have not seen her in the parks since that location location closed.

I saw her at MGM once. You can always go to the info desks in the parks and ask if she'll be out that day.

That probably won't get you ANYWHERE. I don't think she's ever really been "scheduled" to be on sets. It's more of a....she's hanging out with nothing to do, so she is a last minute, unscheduled add on to the daily roster.

"Entertainment is subject to change" works for the better, too, sometimes...however when that happens, it's not necessarily updated on CHiP Hotline.

We saw her & many other Villains at DTD few years back on Halloween night. We took the kids there for trick-or-treating.

If I remember correctly, in all our visits we saw her once at MGM in the central plaza and once at MK on the Tomorrowland side of the hub.

i know i'm replying to an old post, but i thought it may still help. i've seen maleficent the past 2 years on a row at the mickey's not so scary halloween night. there has been a villain's show in front of the castle that happens twice nightly on the nights the party is held. after the show, all characters come off of the stage for pictures. it's pretty easy to get in line and get a picture with her then. i've done it both years with very little trouble or wait time at all.

Yeah. But the only problem is they don't sign. And that probably is the only regular place to see her.

Not to show my ignorance but what is "Chips Hotline?" We would love to see any of he villians, I think the only one we ran into was Prince John last time, and occasionaly Capt Hook and Mr Smee.

The CHIP hotline is a phone number CMs can call to try to locate characters.

I am so lucky! I met Maleficent twice on one single vacation. Then I met her at MNSSHP she had her staff and her raven at the party. All in all I've met Maleficent about 3 times.

She is best to catch in the 2nd show in MNSSHP. We got a great oic of her and DD dressed as Medusa. She signed her book I believe. Good luck!!!

I think I saw her in front of the hat in MGM. I was in a hurry as it was our first day in and we arrived late.
