Edited to add: YES! There's a honey pot! I have that one, too. Also, the hearse from the haunted mansion, a safari vehicle, a splash mountain vehicle, Peter Pan's ship, and others I'm not remembering right now. And, you can find them all over the place. I bought some at Downtown Disney, but I remember the monorail came from a shop in the Animal Kingdom (of all places!!). Happy hunting!

You know how they take your picture on the Tower of Terror and other rides...always be sure to take the card they give you with your picture number on it. You might not want the picture but the little card is a great ride momento!!

If you want a special gift, you could get him a beautiful hand drawn picture of his favorite Disney character, then possibly get the character to sign it !
(I got a picture of Br'er Fox )

I always grab a few "clean" maps at the end of our trip to stash away to see what has changed.

Pin Trading is very fun and is nice way to spark conversations with CMs. You may want to check your local Disney store to see if they have some pins (there will soon be new "100 years of magic" pins released and at least last time they sold pins they were cheaper than at the park).

Has he done the passport thing in Epcot yet - they sell a passport book that you take to each country and get a stamp and write notes in the book.

I do have the little monorail that was mentioned earlier (it's my souvenir, not my son's!) But I really like the idea of the little ride vehicles because we go to WDW fairly often and it would be a good small souvenir for each trip.

We have done the pressed pennies, too, but I didn't realize there was a book you could get to display them in.

One more idea...

My boys still love their stuffed animals too (they are now 11 & 14 ).

Anyway, on one trip several years ago, we let them each bring one SMALL animal (kinda Beanie Baby sized, that fit in their backpack) and we took "souvenir photos" of them and their animal in lots of different places.

In Epcot we had them pose for photos trying on hats of the different countries. Or sometimes the animal would "find" a small toy that he posed for a picture with. Or they'd pose in front of the sign for a favorite ride... you get the idea.

It was CHEAP, and FUN and EASY to do. And we went in each store or kiosk knowing we were only taking pictures, not buying

On one trip, I made a "scavenger hunt" of places or things to take pictures of. Easy things to find, but the kids had to find them and take the pictures themselves. We used the disposable cameras, and I chose 27 items to photograph. They were proud of their pictures, because they took them themselves!

For each of the above photo ideas, we purchased a special album on the trip to keep the pictures in.

We've also done the passports, pressed pennies, Kidcot crafts, etc. But I get the feeling you've also done all these things and are looking for new ideas.

Don't know how well these will travel back home, but at the Japan pavillion at Epcot in front of the big department store they have a kiosk where a CM comes out and makes the most beautiful animals out of candy. You pick the animal from a displayed list and the color and they make it from what looks to be pulled taffy and they "paint" on the features with what I presume is food coloring. They are truly works of art, too pretty to be eaten. And best of all, they are totally free. They do wrap them up in cellophane, so if you were careful and got a box for it, I think you could get it home okay. One woman there said she had kept one for at least six months.

When going to Walt Disney World, you should atleast buy the following: One pair of Mouse Ears, One photo or poster of your group on an E-ticket ride(extremely cool thrill ride), one epcot passport book from your favorite country, and ofcourse, a tee-shirt.
