    What's your favorite sunscreen brand?

I know, it's a strange question, but I'm trying to find something for our trip that's non-greasy, non-smelly, and easy to apply. I have two redheaded girls and a husband who turns a brilliant lobster color in the sun.

I already have some sunscreen sticks for carrying with us, but naturally I'm gonna slather up the family before we leave the hotel in the morning. I saw a new gel sunscreen I thought would work -- you know, normally gel will dry and you can't tell it's there -- but after it dried it would bunch up on the skin and look like dirt. Ewww.

I've used LOTS of brands over the years and I can't really tell the difference between them. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I always use either Banana Boat Sport (orange bottle) or Coppertone Sport (blue bottle). They are both great for long days in the sun with sweating, water (just in case you go in HISA and get extra wet ), and everyday theme park stuff.

When I'm mowing the lawn, however, I need that 'Bug N Sun' to ward off the sun and those darn mosquitos!

    Cool

Shade makes a gel (SPF 30) that we've had good luck with...no "looking like dirt" for us.

My husband is the whitest man I have ever met. We have tried all types, but always go back to Banana Boat Sport, SPF 50+. But remember - you HAVE TO reapply during the day - even with a high SPF you still sweat off the zinc and other effective goodies that come in sunscreen. He is losing his hair (sorry honey) so he wanted something that was both good for his arms and legs and for the more sensitive skin on his head. Banana Boat is great!

We just bought one from Coppertone that comes in a spray bottle. When you spray it a fine lotion mist comes out. It seems to work well too.

We are great fans of Ultra Sweatproof Coppertone Sport No Rub spray--in the blue bottle. We spray down before we dress and are good for the day--until we come in mid-day to relax and refresh, then we spray down before we go back. After I "do" my hair and make-up (not much at DW) I spray the part in my hair and close my eyes and spray my face. I does not irritate my eyes and sweat does not make it run in our eyes and sting them. Get at least 30 or 45 SPF!! Good Luck!! Oh, by the way, this does not make hair look greasy if it is sprayed in your hair after the "do" is dry.

    Have a Disney Day!!

Especially with kids, buy the ones with the color that fades once you rub it in. (I think we used the Waterbabies SPF 45.) You won't miss any spots on the squirming, excited kids that way. And if you let the kids fingerpaint each other, they will love it.

You can also get that spray-on kind and put it in a little spray bottle to carry with you for touch-ups throughout the day.

And don't forget your lips! Give everybody a lip balm with sunscreen -- Banana Boat makes a good one -- and re-apply it hourly if you're pale and burn easily.

We usually use No-Ad (cheap stuff) and it works great. Just did two full days in Blizzard Beach with nary red mark.

Please be careful when using "Bullfrog" sunscreen. It is very water proof so if you get any in your eyes while applying it to your face, you can't wash it out.

I worked at a water park for 17 years and I cringed when parents asked us to flush the Bullfrog out of their child's eyes. It was nearly impossible to flush Bullfrog from the eyes.

I like the Coppertone Sports Sunscreen. It's not greasy and it doesn't sweat off. If you do get it in your eyes you can flush it with saline.

I also use Blistex DCT lip balm on not only my lips, but my nose as well.

It seems that "Sports" sunscreens are a particular favorite of most people. I went and bought some small bottles of several brands to try over the next few weeks and see which one(s) we like.

Thanks for the heads-up about Bullfrog. I use sunscreen sticks on my girls' faces just so I don't get ANY brand in their eyes. And I have the Blistex lip balm for the lips, but I never thought about using it on the nose! Good idea.

I imagine we'll use Water Babies at Typhoon Lagoon.

We have a BIG bottle of No-Ad, and it does work great (we keep it on our boat). I haven't seen it in a spray, though, which would be nice.

Thank you all for the input!
