Morimoto's restaurant in Philadelphia is still generally well received even after being open for over 15 years, so I hope this new venture is as good. The Boathouse sounds great as well. 2 more restaurants for me to try !

I wonder just how different The Boathouse will be from T-Rex and Rainforest. Just sounds, to me, like another chain with mediocre food expanding.

It sounds more along the lines of Portobello and Todd English's bluezoo than T-Rex or Rainforest, based on the menu options mentioned in the press release. The words "gourmet menu" have never been used in any description of T-Rex or Rainforest I've seen .

How different? Big time different... Boathouse isn't being run by Landry's... it is being run by Gibsons Restaurant Group.... Gibsons Restaurant Group was recently voted best steak house in Chicago... Boathouse will be serving a better quality of food me thinks...

I'm quite excited about Chef Morimoto's new restaurant!

Don't really care about another steakhouse, but I know that's what many visitors to WDW like, so the Boathouse is also a good add.

    Thanks Jason!!

Chef Morimoto is an outstanding chef of Asian cuisine, I cant wait for this to open. Having dined about 3 times in his Phila. restaurant I know you wont be disappointed.

If I remember correctly, the Philly restaurant is pretty expensive. I wonder if the Disney location will be too.

As a owner at SSR, I have to admit this is good news. I'm excited to see the final result of the whole project -should be a boost to SSR.

DH and I are excited to try Morimoto's when we're there in December. I'm sure the food will be incredible.

Not totally set on whether we will try the Boathouse or not on that trip. We'll have to see how our ADR planning shakes out over the next month or so.

The same morning I got the video and pics of the Amphibicars testing on the waters, we ran into a Boathouse CM/Server at the DTD Starbucks. He showed us pics on his phone of the food they'd gotten to try as part of their training - mmmmm! It all looked so good. He was very excited about it all coming together and he certainly got me excited about trying it next trip.

And the Amphibicars - totally CUTE!
