Disney World Events with DisneyWizard >>
The holidays are approaching, and only a few happenings are taking place
down in Walt Disney World. Grab some popcorn and take a look.
-Haunted Mansion exhibit opens at Disney-MGM Studios-
Soundstage 4 has been recently transformed into a backstage look into the
new movie, The Haunted Mansion. The walk-though attraction includes props,
costumes, set pieces, and behind the scenes glimpses at the upcoming feature
film. According to the reviews, however, many INTERCOTees were not
impressed.
"It is neat to see the organ set, but if you're looking for a big exhibit,
you might be disappointed." --Aurora

-IAAPA coming to Orlando-
The 85th annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions
convention debuts on November 17th for a 6 day run. This massive trade show
allows designers, owners, and operators of amusement parks, water parks,
family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, and more to show off their
new ideas, designs, and concepts. This year will include a new Halloween
"Dark Zone" section. Be sure to re-visit INTERCOT for new information and

Happy November, Everyone.
INTERCOT is now making the Mickey Monitor available via Info Central. If you
happen to be an Annual Passholder that does not receive your copy when
you're suppose to .. OR is one of many out of the Country that also does not
get the Newsletter regularly, check out the Annual Passholder benefits page.
Fantasmic! has been added to Info Central's rehab page. The show will be
dark January 25 - February 1, 2004. For an updated list of what is closed
keep checking back. We update the page accordingly.

Speaking of events; have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend a
"Royal Ball" at Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom? If you're
vacationing in February it could be possible. Disney has announced a special
event "This is Love" to be held on Wednesday, February 04, 2004. "The
evening will include a gallant quest, where only the most brave and strong
will prevail, a plentiful feast of both hearty food and beverage, exclusive
ball gifts to all our guests, and of course, special appearances by our most
honored and royal Disney friends as we join them before the Cinderella
Castle in a beautiful ball to celebrate the love they share for each other.
And of course, what royal gathering would be complete without a royal send
off as the evening ends with a special viewing of our new "Wishes" fireworks
show." If you do attend please drop us an email to fill us all in on the
details and let us know if the glass slipper fit. More details of the event

Well, October was full of happenings around INTERCOT, so let's just get
right into it!!
GoofysCowgirl wanted to know what we all preferred for cell phone rings.
Some liked to have a little Disney flair, while others preferred a basic
ring. JanetMegan started the great flu shot debate, and it was interesting
to see how people felt about it. Have you gotten *yours* yet? ;) We wished
our Canadian neighbors to the North a Happy Thanksgiving in October, and it
made us all look forward to ours coming up. Marker wanted to know if we all
proof read our posts before we post them to the boards. I know that we got a
good laugh because he had an error in his right from the get go.. ;) Point
well made, Mark. We all should be more careful about proofing before we
post. Makes it easier for everyone. Roland asked if we had any regrets so
far in our lives. It was nice to see some folks that didn't, and good for
those who did to get them off of their chests. The Florida Marlins took the
World Series this year against the New York Yankees, winning the Series 4-2.
Congratulations to them!! (I'm just glad that it's over so that my football
team could get
that nasty infield taken out..)
pjbs35a took a poll to find out how we all cope when we get the dreaded
message that the boards are down for maintenance or upgrades. Seems that
none of us deal with it too well, and we are all super glad that John keeps
us up and running with minimal downtime. Thanks John!! :) DisneyRN inquired
if there were any famous people registered at INTERCOT. While no one stepped
forward, it wouldn't surprise me to know that there is *someone* lurking out
there. Daylight savings time ended. I hope by this point that everyone has
adjusted to the change. I'm having a little trouble going to work in the
dark and coming home in the dark. I feel a little like a mole. titleistboy
was curious as to what the stories were behind the screen names that people
chose when registering for INTERCOT. While some were pretty
self-explanatory, others were not, and it was fun to see the inside stories.
Multiple wildfires broke out in the Southern California area, and an
incredible amount of acreage and homes were lost, and one firefighter died.
Pixie Dust headed to all those folks as they begin to pick up the pieces and
rebuild their lives.
Let's have some cake and ice cream as we celebrate the October birthdays!!
