Whew! Is it hot or what? I hope everyone is managing to stay cool and is
enjoying their Summer. We have a lot of news and information for you this
month. In this Edition we'll find out what is happing in the "World", Carol
will fill us in on the latest changes to Info Central, Ray offers moving
advice and Janie brings us up-to-date with all of the INTERCOTee happenings.

Events with DisneyWizard >>
ESPN the Weekend
takes place later this month at MGM Studios. To celebrate ESPN's 25th
anniversary, ESPN and Walt Disney World Resort are offering fans the
opportunity to see and hear some of their favorite ESPN personalities and
athletes of the past 25 years via "ESPN the Weekend." The event will be held
over a 2 day span, Saturday & Sunday, July 31 and August 1, 2004.

Discussion
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will return to Disney's Wide World of Sports
Complex for their 2004 NFL Training Camp July 31-Aug. 19. Practices are open
to the public at no charge. Fans will be able to watch the players on the
fields for their workouts. The tentative scheduled is 8:35-10:45AM and
2:45-4:45PM. For more information, call 407-939-GAME.
There has been a Second
Baby African Elephant Calf Born at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park
and It's a Girl! Weighing in at 230 pounds she was named Kianga, which means
"Sunshine" in Swahili. Animal Kingdom guests will be able to see her
progress on camera monitors at Rafiki's Planet Watch, in the near future. It
will be several weeks before Kianga and her Mom get to join the other
elephants on the savanna.

Disney will begin taking reservations for the Food & Wine Festival events on
July 20th. Schedule details have started to filter in. Watch for the
upcoming events here.
The Food & Wine Festival runs from October 1 - November 14 this year.

What's New?
We have added a page to the
INTERCOT Theme Park section detailing the new Tomorrowland attraction,
Stitch’s Great Escape! It is slated to open in the Fall and will offer Fast

The Historic Park Hours page for 2004 has been added to Info Central,
highlighting the first 6 months of this year. Our historic hour pages are
very popular among vacation planners as they can offer a guideline as to
what events and hours were offered in months past.

Beginning last month guests staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk,
Coronado Springs, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Old Key West, Polynesian,
Saratoga Springs, Wilderness Lodge & Villas and the Yacht & Beach Club
resorts are able to use their fitness center, at no additional charge, for
the length of their vacation stay. Guests of other resorts not mentioned
above, or guests who choose to utilize another resort's fitness center, must
pay the current fees.

The Jungle Cruise and
Donald's Boat have been added to the rehab schedule. The Jungle Cruise
will not be operating from August 22 - September 5, 2004. Donald's Boat
will not be closed to visitors from July 12 - August 12, 2004. The complete

Even if you’re not moving to New Zealand, if you are moving and your email
address is changing, you probably are going to want to let us know. We at
INTERCOT get several requests each month to change addresses for people,
which we can do…but this is something that members can do for themselves.
As a first step, you may just want to change your displayed location, all
you have to do is go into “My Profile” after you’ve logged in, click “Edit
Profile”, scroll down to “Profile Fields” and change what is listed for
“Location”.
If your email address changes there are possibly two changes that you need
to make. In order for us to be able to contact you, you’ll need to change
the email address listed in your profile. To do that, you’ll need to again
go into “My Profile”, then “Edit Profile” as described above, then in “Email
Address” replace the listed address with your new address. Please note that
as a matter of security, your password will be reset (once you log back into
the boards with your new password. You will receive an email detailing your
new information. You can change it back to your old password by following
the first two steps listed above and going to the "Change Password" section
of the form.
If you subscribe to the INTERCOT Insider and your email address changes
you’ll need to let us know in order to keep receiving the newsletter. For
this, you’ll need to visit the “Interactive” tab in the upper right hand
corner of the boards. What you’ll need to do next is unsubscribe with your
old email address, hit “submit”, then subscribe with your new email address
and hit “submit” again.

June began on a sad note as we mourned the passing of President Ronald
Reagan on June 5, 2004. Many INTERCOTees reminisced and shared memories of
one of America’s most popular presidents. On a happier note, we observed
Flag Day and Father’s Day in June. I hope that all of our INTERCOT dads had
a great day!
Do you know who Smarty Jones is? Well, INTERCOT waited and watched and hoped
that Smarty could win the Triple Crown. His Cinderella story didn’t turn out
happily ever after though and we’ll have to wait another year to see if
there will be another Triple Crown winner.
Notice the little “house” icon above the message box when browsing the
boards? Well, that little house will lead you to the poster’s home page.
aprilisis wanted to know who clicks on the houses and it seems like a lot of
our members have clicked and learned about each other. So, the next time you
have a chance, click on the little house and meet one of your fellow
members!
Have you ever had INTERCOT withdrawal? Well, poor Beach Club Babe found out
the hard way what it’s like and shared it with us and it was not pretty
(sorry Heather!). Seems like a lot of us wouldn’t know what to do with
ourselves if our connection to INTERCOT was cut off! Here’s hoping that it
doesn’t happen to any of you!
The topic comes up every so often and it always gets a huge response: Krispy
Kreme doughnuts! lovewalt tried her first one and found it so tasty that she
had to share the experience with us! Many INTERCOTees joined in the
discussion, proving just how addicting those KKs can be! Look out Holly, you
might be hooked now!
Did you stop in at any of MickeysGirl’s Friday Water Cooler Parties last
month? Themes included the INTERCOT Hurricane Party, an Extra-Terrestrial
Extravaganza, the INTERCOT Father’s Day Party and to honor those hardworking
Friday party employees, a Cabana Boy Bonanza! Plan on stopping in this
Friday and see what Jamie and the cabana boys have cooked up for you!
Speaking of parties, brad192 posed a very interesting question: if you could
invite 10 famous people (living or dead) to your party, whom would you
invite? This topic proved to be very popular and a very eclectic assortment
of people was mentioned, from Mother Theresa to John Lennon to Hitler! The
most commonly mentioned name among INTERCOTees? Walt Disney of course!
We had some special occasions to celebrate last month in the Cooler.
Congratulations go out to Claytonia on her recent wedding, to roryjulie on
graduating from law school, to citizensnoopy on doing so well on her MCAT
test and to ElenitaB on being cancer-free! Let’s party!

Claytonia and Lucille. We have an unprecedented 8 new members of the
Four-Digit Club (1000 posts): goin2disney, LittleSpirit02, SgtTigger,
drummerboy, J9, Joe, Sue & Joey, Joeybun. TheMartellFamily hit 500posts and
we have two new Senior Cast Members (300 posts): nutz4goofy and Dopey’sGirl;
Coming in with 100 posts each: Nascfan and Disney Doodle. Congratulations to
all of you and keep up the quality posting!
