<< Bytes
& Pieces with TiggerRPh >>
“Ummm….yeah
that’s a cute one…little Johnny looks so darling here…oh wow, you got a
picture with an Ewok…oh, that’s not an Ewok? It’s Aunt Grace…oh, sorry about
that…well, this is a nice picture of Illuminations.”
We get a good number of questions about pictures, but they generally fall
into one of two categories. So, let’s take them one at a time…
How do I post my picture into my profile?
There are two things you have to have first to do this. The first is a
picture. It can be of you or what you what people to see about your
personality. The second thing is…the picture has to be on the internet, with
the picture having it’s own URL (internet address). Once you have these, all
you have to do is click “My Profile” (located under “INTERCOT Boards”), then
“Edit Profile”, add the URL to the field to the right of “Your Picture”, and
then finally click “Update Profile”.
How can I share my pictures with everyone?
INTERCOT only allows the posting of pictures in two areas. In the Trip
Report Forum, we allow you to post a link to a photo site (such as Ofoto and
Webshots) that displays your trip pictures. All you have to do is click the
“URL” tab in the “Instant UBB Code” area below the reply window, insert the
URL of your photo site, click “OK”, give the link a name, then click “OK”.
The other area that we allow pictures is by linking your homepage in your
profile to INTERCOT. In order to do this, you will need to access your
profile as described above and insert the URL for your homepage into the
field to the right of “Homepage”, and as above click “Update Profile” to
complete the task.
We do ask that your homepage and any pictures linked are family in nature so
as to remain consistent with INTERCOT’s “family friendly” mission.

Burgers or brats?
With the Fourth of July kicking off the month, mjstaceyuofm polled INTERCOT
members on their preference for their Independence Day cookouts. Among
INTERCOTees, burgers won over brats 78% to 22%. Fireworks? Picnic? Baseball?
How did you celebrate Independence Day? Cookouts, fireworks, swimming and
baseball proved to be the most popular at INTERCOT – I hope everyone enjoyed
and had a safe and fun holiday!
Did you know that in addition to celebrating Independence Day, July is also
known as National Doghouse Repairs Month, Anti-Boredom Month and Cell Phone
Courtesy Month? If not, then you need to read Lizzy’s July Celebrations!
With such days as be a Dork Day, National Accountant’s Day and Drive-Thru
Day there’s always something to observe! And how could we have missed July
6th – Take Your Webmaster to Lunch Day? Sorry JohnY – we owe you a lunch! Be
sure to look for Lizzy’s August celebrations list for more wacky holidays!
Are you as old as you feel? DisneyKim22 wanted to know if your age matters.
With just a couple of exceptions, it seems that age makes no difference
among INTERCOTees. I guess that being a Disney fan really does keep us all
young at heart!
MickeysGirl’s Friday Water Cooler Parties for the month of July included a
July 4th Fireworks Party, Strawberry Sunday Day, Happy 49th Birthday
Disneyland, and to celebrate the last week of summer vacation for many of
the INTERCOT moms and dads, the Schoolhouse Shebang! Stop on in next Friday
and see what Jamie has cooked up for you!
Afraid to step on the scale? Is your waistline growing? Or, maybe you just
would like to live a healthier lifestyle? Well, every Monday begins a new
week with the INTERCOT Diet Club. Stop on in every week for support, tips
and recipes with some of your fellow “losers” and you’ll see how much better
you feel!
Need a good laugh? pjbs35a provided us with plenty last month. “Hillbilly
Computer Jargon” and “Rock Songs for Folks Over Fifty” were just a couple of
the jokes that Frankie shared with us. Thanks for the laughs, Frankie!
NikkiBell has started a new club in the Water Cooler: the Teachers Club. So,
if you’re a teacher or school administrator, stop on in and share your
stories, problems and experiences with your fellow teachers on an ongoing
basis.
Special congratulations go to BrerGnat on the birth of her son on July 13th!
