Mickey's
Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Promises Fright-Free Fun
Magic Kingdom guests can join Mickey and his pals for a far-from-frightening
good time at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Oct. 27, 29 and 31.
Guests are invited to dress in costumes and trick-or-treat through the park
from 7 p.m. to midnight each evening. Live music and storytelling, and a
fireworks spectacular will also be featured. Advance tickets are $23.95
plus tax for guests ages 10 and up and $19.95 plus tax for ages 3-9. Tickets
at the gate are $25.95 plus tax ($21.95 plus tax for ages 3-9) based on

Downtown Disney's
Pleasure Island To Hold Halloween Bash
Pleasure Island will host a Halloween party Oct. 31 for guests searching for
sounds that rock, groove and go bump in the night. Guests also can compete
for prizes during the Halloween costume contest starting at 9 p.m. The
Halloween party is included with regular Pleasure Island admission of $18.86

Kingdom E-Ride Nights Announced
Disney has
officially announced its E-Ride schedule. Nov. 2,6,9,13,17- 7pm to 10pm and
Nov. 20 & 22 9pm to 12pm.
E-Ride Nights are an
exclusive "private party" in the Magic Kingdom for a limited number of Walt
Disney World Resort Guests.

Is The
Beastly Kingdom Dead?
Is Beastly
Kingdom ever going to get built? Maybe not, according to Disney Imagineers.
Last week as Disney announced two new rides, Joe Rohde, one of the top
Imagineers, questioned whether the planned thrill ride portion of Animal
Kingdom would make it off the drawing board.

Polynesian
Gets New Pool
According to
INTERCOT's sources at the hotel, the pool was one of the largest negatives
on guest satisfaction surveys. People argued... that for a high-end resort,
the pool was rather small compared to other Deluxe Resorts on property.
Disney has listened and the Polynesian Resort pool was officially closed
last week to make way for a new pool featuring a volcano slide, clear view
of the Seven Seas Lagoon and larger pool deck area. While under rehab,
guest can use the Polynesian's other pool or those at the other Deluxe

Disney
Announces New Rides For Animal Kingdom
Disney's
Animal Kingdom will include new rides set to open in 2001 and 2002.
Imagineers announced a new dinosaur-themed "fun fair" called "Chester &
Hester's Dino-Rama at the Animal Kingdom's Dinoland U.S.A. section. The new
"mini-land," will feature Primeval Whirl, a family-style roller coaster that
creates rider-controlled, spinning "time machines," which transport riders
through curves, short drops and the jaws of a dinosaur skeleton. The opening
date is spring 2002. Triceratop Spin, a children's ride takes guests on an
up-down-and-around ride in four-passenger vehicles that move around a giant
spinning toy top that opens to reveal a dinosaur. The ride is set to open
next year. Also featured are a The two-acre area also will have
carnival-style midway arcade games and a 50-foot-tall "concreteasaurus."

Fifth Annual Super Soap Weekend
The fifth annual ABC Super Soap Weekend at the Disney-MGM Studios will be
held Nov. 11-12, 2000, at the Walt Disney World Resort. “All My Children”
star Susan Lucci will headline an outstanding lineup of over 30 stars from
the ABC Daytime dramas, at Disney-MGM Studios.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin To Open
Next Summer!
Disney's
Adventureland area at the Magic Kingdom will get a facelift and be home to
the new Aladdin ride and Agrabah Bazaar. Aladdin's ride will take guests on
a magic-carpet ride next summer. Sixteen four-person "carpets" circle a
giant Genie's bottle, while water-spewing camels spit at airborne guests.
