Spaceship Earth Revamp Reviewed as Both Wonderful and Woeful
not often a ride revamp gets both wonderful and woeful reviews by the same
individual, but it seems Spaceship Earth's revamp is doing both. Guests are
simultaneously praising the first half of the ride as "in the tradition" of
the Epcot keystone ride and slamming the second half of the ride as a
journey thru a dark tunnel and an unimaginative use of space. Spaceship
Earth is still in preview mode, so there's time to add additional effects,
lighting and scenes, but we theorize at the point where you start showing
the public your work, you are probably 90-95% done what you intended to do.
Lets hope our theory is wrong - or the folks at Imagineering will have both
hit a home run and struck out - all in the same at bat.
