New Star Tours Attraction to Debut in May

As part of yesterday's wide ranging announcements, Disney confirmed that the new Star Tours attraction at Hollywood Studios will make its debut in 3D on May 20th.  The reimagined attraction will feature new droids, a new Starspeeder, new destinations and even a new pilot.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster For Fantasyland Confirmed - First of Kind Ride System Awaits

Disney released more details today about the ongoing Fantasyland expansion and it included a surprise... a new coaster!  The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take you on a rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth as they whisk along the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.

Disney Dream Christening Streaming Live Wednesday, January 19 @ 10:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, January 19, Disney Cruise Line will stream a live webcast of the christening ceremony of the Disney Dream. The show will start at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, direct from Port Canaveral, Fla., which the Disney Dream calls home.

Walt Disney World Resort Winter Pool Rehabs

Many resort pool refurbishments have been added to the current winter rehab schedule. Visitors may want to check the renovation list to see how or if it may affect your upcoming vacation. Typically when Walt Disney World closes a resort pool for maintenance they offer alternative locations to their guests. It appears all but a few resorts will have some sort of pool closure during the 2011 winter travel months.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Celebrates 18th Year with Millions of Blooms

More than 30 million blooms in artfully designed floral beds, floral islands, vibrant rose gardens and larger-than-life topiaries will grace the 300 acres of Future World and World Showcase during the 18th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, scheduled to take place at the Walt Disney World theme park March 2 through May 15, 2011.

Major League Baseball Returns to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for Atlanta Braves Spring Training 2011

The National League powerhouse Atlanta Braves will return for their 14th consecutive exhibition season at Walt Disney World Resort in March 2011.  Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex where the Atlanta Braves under a new manager will take the field to prepare for the regular season - features more than 9,500 seats, along with luxury skyboxes, suites and patios. The stadium offers many of the amenities of today's major league ballparks in an intimate sports setting like no other.  There's even seating on grassy knolls that harkens back to the early days of baseball.

Disney Dream Arrives at Port

Fifteen days after leaving Bremerhaven, Germany, the Disney Dream arrived in Port Canaveral, FL at sunrise this morning amid much fanfare and excitement. The ship will depart on its maiden voyage on January 26, 2011.
