Fantasyland Updates; Storybook
Circus to Open By Late March & Snow White Attraction Closes
 It's being reported that
the first elements of Storybook Circus will debut in late March, becoming
the first of progressive openings for the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom
Park history. The first experiences to open will be one carousel of Dumbo
the Flying Elephant, the re-imagined Barnstormer starring the Great Goofini
and the Fantasyland Station of the Walt Disney World Railroad. Also
noteworthy; the ever popular Princesses will be getting a new home at the
location where Snow White’s Scary Adventures is currently located. The last
day of operation for this attraction will be Thursday, May 31, 2012.

Park Calendar Released Through
August 2012
 The
Walt Disney World Resort has released it's Extra
Magic Hours, Operating and Event schedules for August 2012. For guests
visiting during this time, you will want to visit the Park
Hours and Events pages
to aid in planning your trip. Remember, all times and schedules are subject
to change, so check back often.

Changes Coming to Kilimanjaro
Safaris
 According to Disney, the
Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction will undergo some changes beginning this
Spring. Walt Disney Imagineering will modify the last scene in the
attraction by removing the Audio-Animatronics “Little Red” elephant and
related set pieces. The area will be reconfigured as an additional savannah
space and feature a new watering hole for zebra. This enhancement is
scheduled to be completed by fall 2012 and will remain operational during
the adjustment.

Fastpass Changes Coming to
WDW in March
 In
preparation for implementing it's NextGen project, Disney World will
apparently soon be enforcing the return time on it's FASTPASS system.
Beginning March 7, guests will be allowed to enter 5 minutes before the
start time and only up to 15 after the end time stated on the FASTPASS. For
many years, guests were able to take advantage of the FASTPASS being honored
all day after the first return time.
