Well, it's
another year at the show you never outgrow and it's just as much fun (and
walking as ever). Day 1 typically allows us at INTERCOT to become
oriented to the layout of the show and begin exploring things. Then in
days 2 and 3, we delve further into the things that interest us or food,
whichever comes first.
A few
observations up front.... it appears there are less food vendors here than in
years past. Also sorely missing is the presence of a dark ride of some
sort. Normally Sally Rides has presented one of it's products in
actual ride thru mode. Not this year. Also, we noted quite a few
larger vendors didn't significantly change their booths from last year which
is a slight disappointment. On the bright side, haunted items seem in
good supply and turn out both in terms of exhibitors and attendees seems
solid.
And with
that said, lets dive in to the pictures and commentary...
Without a doubt, this is our MUST HAVE item so far. It is a jacket
that actually has a LED display built into the back and front pocket of
the jacket. It is driven presently by a palm pilot hooked up
inside the front of the jacket and looks stunning. Needless to
say, if it was for sale at the show, I would have bought one on the
spot. According to NYX Illuminated Clothing who makes the jacket,
it should retail for around $200 in the near future. We'll be
standing first in line!
An
interesting concept is the Star Flyer which takes a typical chair /
swing type ride and elevates it a few stories off the ground.
Zamperella had a number of unique offerings. This wild mouse car
caught our eye with it's unique theming and vivid colors.
Zamperella also presented this striking motorcycle concept.
