After
taking a year off, the INTERCOT crew is back at it again with coverage
of the IAAPA 2007 Convention live from the Orange County Convention
Center, Orlando Florida. INTERCOT covers this amazing convention with photo's, news,

The
IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007 is the largest conference and trade show for
the amusement park and attractions industry in the world. With its theme
“Expand Your Universe” the show will drawan estimated 25,000 people from
more than 85 countries from the amusement and leisure industries to the
Orange County Convention Center. More than 1,000 exhibitors will
display their products and services in 500,000 net square feet of
exhibit space. The event will also include educational sessions,
behind-the-scenes tours, marquee social events and networking
opportunities. This is the marketplace where amusement and attraction
industry leaders, decision makers and visionaries gather to network,
view the latest innovations, and plan for the future.
2007 Day One Photos:
Well, it
was a lot of walking and a ton of fast food, games, rides and more but
we survived. One of the coolest experiences of the day was the the
Dinner In The Sky where we hung suspended from a crane 128 feet (or so)
in the air at a dinner table. Check out the pictures!
2007 Day
Two Photos:
Six hours of walking today and our collective feet are tired. John
and Jeremy today were joined by Ryan, Webmaster at INTERCOTwest who will
be adding to the photos and commentary as well. Highlights of the
day include the Beer Cooler Cart which can be yours tor $399-599 - and
is sure to turn heads, Zamperella's Parachute Plunge which packed
elements of the tower of terror style drop into it, and an Alien Water
Park concept that lifted guests to the mother ship and top of the drop
instead of them taking stairs. Extreme Fun awaits - check out
today's photos!
2007 Day
Three Photos
& Videos:
By Day Three, the Orlando Convention Center and the massiveness of the
IAAPA Trade Show grinds you down and leaves you feeling exhausted.
In the end less pictures get snapped and you drag from booth to booth.
The INTERCOT crew was not exception - however, we did get a chance to
post pictures of a unforgettable Day One event that featured Marty Sklar
(the man who from Walt’s death to the present day has guided the
creative philosophy of Walt Disney Imagineering), Dick Nunis (legendary
operational leader and innovator who built the universally-admired
Disney operational culture) and Harrison "Buzz" Price (the inventor of
feasibility economics for the themed entertainment industry) in The 2007
IAAPA Classic Faceoff—Creatives vs. Operators vs. Number Crunchers.
What a session it was to see three gentlemen together who worked side by
side with Walt Disney himself.
