Leave A Legacy |

Giant granite monoliths create a new sculpture
garden at the entry to Epcot – 35 huge stones where guests will be
able to mark a moment in time during the Epcot Millennium Celebration.
It’s easy to imagine that a thousand years from now the rows of
granite blocks may be viewed by interplanetary tourists as a
latter-day Stonehenge.
The trapezoid-shaped sculptures follow the slanting lines of the base
of Spaceship Earth, creating a welcoming entryway to Future World. The
shortest monolith is 3 feet tall, the tallest is 19 feet high, and the
heaviest weighs more than 50,000 pounds.
Guests can Leave A Legacy in the form of one-inch-square digital
portraits, either a single portrait or two joined in one square,
etched on a stainless steel plate ten attached to the stones within
five days (a diagram will show each location). There is space for
750,000 of the portraits. Cost is $35 for one image, $38 for two.
