castles, to trolls, to baked goods, shops, and one of the most highly
anticipated new rides in Disney World (or so it seems), Norway has a little
something to offer everyone. Wander this charming pavilion and discover the
magic of Norway.
Be sure to visit the Stave Church, a faithful recreation of Gol
stavkirke, bulit in 1212 A.D. in Hallingdal, Norway. The original stave
church was saved from demolition and can now be found at the Norwegian
Museum of Cultural History in Oslo, Norway. The Stave Church here functions
as a cozy museum, with exhibits that are changed out periodically.
Currently, guests can view items that served to inspire the artists who
created the movie, Frozen. On display are items of clothing, artifacts, and
Frozen Ever After
This all new attraction, which replaced Maelstrom, features Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, Kristoff
( and perhaps a troll or
two). This new journey through Arendelle immerses guests in many of their
favorite musical moments from the film. Guests are welcomed by Olaf, who is
SO excited to show you the way to Elsa's ice palace. But, don't stay too
long! Elsa uses her ice magic to push your boat back, back (but not over the
falls this time!) The boat narrowly escapes an icy blast of wind from the
snow monster before heading down the slopes of the mountain and back to
safety. All new animatronics and special effects make this an enjyoable
ride, particularly for fans of the film.
Guests can meet Anna and
Elsa at this new meet & greet location in the Norway Pavilion, themed to
a rustic Norwegian "summer house". Please note:
at this time, Fastpass+ is NOT available for this experience.
Food options here include
the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, an authentic Norwegian bakery serving up
sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Meet your favorite Disney Princesses at
Akershus, a Disney Character Dining Experience, located inside a castle in
this pavilion. Click for menus below!
This 5 minute boat ride
packs a solid punch, traveling
thru a Viking village, mythical forest (home to the trolls), a backwards
waterfall and toss and turn in the raging North Sea narrowly avoiding a
monstrous Oil Rig. It all goes by so quick and leaves you wanting MORE!
After your boat docks, stick around to watch a beautifully shot view of
