Get ready to play! Pixar Day at Sea will make its return to the Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral, Florida, in January, with beloved Pixar characters bringing extra magic at every turn.

For the first time out of Galveston, Texas, Marvel Day at Sea will transport your family into the thrilling universe of beloved heroes and infamous villains in an action-packed adventure at sea. Select four- and five-night Disney Magic sailings will offer adventurous entertainment for the whole family, plus character encounters and special themed dining and merchandise, all culminating with a clash between good and evil on the upper decks in a spectacular deck party.

Spider-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Thor, Loki and Black Panther are among the dozens of favorite heroes and villains from across the multiverse that will collide onboard the Disney Magic during Marvel Day at Sea in 2026.

The excitement of the Marvel Universe will come to life at sea with experiences for the whole family. In Fathoms, a big-band, star-spangled tribute to Captain America will unfold with a special USO show, featuring vintage dance numbers and an appearance from the Star-Spangled Man himself! Recruits of Wakanda will convene in the atrium for warrior training with the mighty Okoye, General of Dora Milaje. For you aspiring young heroes, themed youth activities like the Avengers Training Initiative will give you the chance to test your Super Hero skills.

Classic Disney characters will also join in the heroics as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends dress up in their favorite Marvel gear during Mickey and Minnie’s Super Hero Celebration.

Finally, Marvel Heroes Unite, a signature nighttime spectacular on the upper decks will sweep you up in a daring battle with thrilling stunts, special effects and fireworks at sea as Marvel Super Heroes and villains engage in a battle of destiny that cuts across the multiverse.

Pixar Day at Sea is BACK! Gather your finest Pixar-themed attire and play with your very favorite toys, monsters and supers throughout the ship, complete with character encounters, themed dining and special merchandise. On select five-night Disney Fantasy sailings out of Port Canaveral, Florida, your family will experience the beloved Pixar tales of “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out,” and “Coco” during this fun-filled adventure, starting with the Hey Howdy Breakfast, a musical breakfast themed to “Toy Story.”

Every member of the family will find some fun during Pixar Day at Sea. For those looking for a turtle-y righteous celebration on the big blue, head to the upper decks for Crush’s Totally Awesome Pool Party, full of dances and games led by Crush’s Pixar Party Patrol. If you’re more about the presentation, darling, don your best Pixar fashion and strut your stuff for the ultimate critic, Edna Mode, during Edna Mode’s Style on Parade. Just remember… “No capes!”

Your taste buds will have a blast, too! Live like Remy during Anyone Can Cook, a live cooking demonstration with Disney Chefs. Can you guess what’s on the menu? Ratatouille, of course!

The sun will set on the Pixar Day at Sea fun and games during the Pixar Pals Celebration on the upper decks. You’ll dance the night away in a high-energy deck party with all of your favorite Pixar friends.

The Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams are hard at work with the crew at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to bring Disney Cruise Line’s heroes and villains-themed ship, the Disney Destiny, to life – and it may be further along than you think!

Here on the Disney Destiny ship’s log, you can get an exclusive look at the shipbuilding process, along with behind-the-scenes looks at some of the exciting Disney stories coming to life inside. Be sure to bookmark this page for regular updates all the way through the ship’s maiden voyage on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny, a hallmark design feature that represents each ship’s unique theme and personality. Now in its final stages of completion, this larger-than-life sculpture will eventually be installed among the filigree on the back of the ship, showcasing Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots attempting to assist with decorating the stern.

Walt Disney Imagineer Jay Abruzzese, principal production designer, recently met with the production team for a creative review of our friendly neighborhood stern character. Check out this video for a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

A defining trait of every Disney Cruise Line ship is the signature character statue that welcomes guests as soon as they step on board. For the first time ever, the Disney Destiny will feature a Marvel Super Hero in this place of honor: T’Challa, the original Black Panther.

Walt Disney Imagineering is currently putting the finishing touches on this stunning depiction of T’Challa standing strong atop a jut of rock, the feline form of a black panther at his feet. To set this bronze statue apart, Imagineers designed a textured black finish with silver and purple accents that infuse the sculpture with a sense of life, capturing the power and grace of the King of Wakanda.

This one-of-a-kind statue will ultimately take its place in the Wakanda-inspired Grand Hall, beckoning cruisers into a brand-new world of heroes and villains … and legendary vacation memories.

Like its sister ships, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, a fan-favorite focal point of the Disney Destiny’s staterooms will be the oversized custom art piece mounted in place of a headboard above the main bed. Inspired by the ship’s theme of “heroes and villains,” these murals will depict the alluring duality and epic journeys of famous Disney and Pixar legends, such as Hercules, Mulan and Merida — the designs for which were revealed today for the first time.

Walt Disney Imagineering has dreamed up two incredible statues destined for Edna Á La Mode Sweets, an all-new confectionary inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ “The Incredibles.”

Taking cues from the “Auntie Edna” short film, the statues showcase Edna Mode — fashion designer for the world’s most famous Supers — hard at work while attempting to entertain the unpredictable super baby Jack-Jack with sweet treats.

Imagineers partnered with Pixar Animation Studios to create the sculptures, from sketch to digital model to reality. When finished, they’ll be transported to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany for installation and finally prepared for the sweetest of photo ops aboard the Disney Destiny.

The countdown to the Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage on November 20, 2025 is on! For ship’s log readers that simply can’t wait to set sail and Disney fans alike, the Disney Destiny has taken over the official Disney Cruise Line playlist on Spotify, featuring a collection of songs that speak to the exciting venues onboard and the ship’s unique heroes and villains theme.

Hits from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King will help future guests build up their appetite and get ready to dine at the all-new restaurant opening on the ship, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. The playlist also features iconic favorites from the Disney Animation film, Hercules, to go the distance in preparation for the high-energy, Broadway-style stage show set to debut at the Walt Disney Theatre. And who can forget about Cruella De Vil’s memorable theme song from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which will set the tune for De Vil’s, an adult-exclusive piano lounge.

Last week, the Disney Destiny completed another exciting construction milestone at Meyer Werft Shipyard when it touched water for the first time. The process, known as “float up,” began by filling the building dock with water from the Ems River in order to lift the Disney Destiny from the floor of the chamber. The ship was then guided to another position in the hall, where the team will begin testing different systems onboard, including the main engines. In the coming months, the shipyard team will continue to focus on building out the legendary interior spaces coming to the Disney Destiny.

With the final block of the Disney Destiny in place, the team at Meyer Werft shipyard can turn their attention to installing the unique exterior features that will distinguish the ship. First on the list is a whimsical art piece on the Disney Destiny’s bow, which depicts Minnie Mouse striking a valiant pose in her new heroic ensemble. With her cape billowing behind her, Minnie Mouse’s outfit symbolizes the Disney Destiny’s first-of-its-kind “Heroes and Villains” design theme.

The elegant, hand-painted filigree continues a longstanding Disney Cruise Line tradition dating back to the fleet’s first ship, the Disney Magic, with every Disney Cruise Line vessel having a distinct character-inspired image embossed on its bow. In the lead up to the Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage in November of this year, the team at Meyer Werft shipyard will continue to add details to the ship’s exterior and interior.

Today, we are bringing you a first look at this ship’s progress and are excited to share that the final blocks (i.e. sections of the ship) were put into place in late 2024. That’s right – with the last piece of the ship in place, the ship’s exterior is now structurally complete and outfitting work has begun on the interior. These beautiful, permanent art installations were created by Bahamian artists to share the vibrant colors and natural wonders of The Bahamas through a variety of inspired sculptures, paintings and more.

Let’s meet some of the artists who helped to bring Disney Lookout Cay to life:

🌴 When you arrive at Disney Lookout Cay, you’ll be greeted by a towering sculpture by acclaimed Bahamian artist Antonius Roberts. The piece was constructed from a fallen tree that was found on Lighthouse Point property prior to construction!

🦀 Look closely at the exterior doors throughout the destination: they have wood carvings inspired by Andret John’s original designs.

🌊 At the Goombay Cultural Center and the cabanas, keep an eye out for paintings of Eleuthera’s landscapes by painter Kevin Cooper—you just might recognize the famous Lighthouse Point Beach, which is only steps away.

🐟 Stay inspired by nature with sculptures by mixed media artist and painter, Edrin Symonette, located throughout Disney Lookout Cay.

🎨 Notice those colorful designs on several buildings? Painter Dorman Stubbs created the original murals that have been replicated at Disney Lookout Cay.

🐚 Look up in the dining pavilions to see land- and sea-inspired art designed by interdisciplinary artist Kishan Munroe.

Today, I’m excited to share new photos from here in Eleuthera, including a new look at the Bahamian-inspired art and architecture taking shape at this one-of-a-kind island destination.

Nestled along the sand dunes of Serenity Bay, the vibrantly colored architecture of the Serenity Bay Cabanas matches the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which sit across Disney Lookout Cay at the arrival point of the destination.

Steps away from Serenity Bay BBQ and the area’s beach bar, these cabanas will be available for rent to offer a retreat for adults to take in Eleuthera’s stunning sand dunes and shimmering ocean waves.

The bright turquoise ocean here in Eleuthera is beautiful, yes, but don’t forget to look up while you’re exploring Disney Lookout Cay. Art from talented, local Bahamian artists will take shape throughout all of the spaces at the destination, including intricate wood carvings inspired by artist Andret John and colorful murals by painter Dorman Stubbs, as seen here.

Our new island destination, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera, opens this summer – less than half an hour by plane from my home in Nassau. This beautiful destination will offer a window into our rich culture, warm hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty of The Bahamas.

Are you wondering about how this special island destination comes to life? Today, I’m excited to share first-look photos of construction progress, which give a glimpse of the inspiration and stunning architecture of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Cabanas

Do you see those vibrant colors and patterns designed by a Bahamian artist dotting the beautiful shores of Disney Lookout Cay? Those are the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which will be available for families to relax and play along the white sand and turquoise Bahamian waters.

Among the first sights guests will see when approaching Disney Lookout Cay, the colorful cabanas will set a tone for the vibrant and beautiful architecture throughout the island destination.

True-True Too BBQ

Walt Disney Imagineering designed the architecture throughout Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point to resemble a series of colorful, oversized seashells scattered along the coastline. From these beautiful decks under the shade of a shell-inspired pavilion, you’ll enjoy some tasty lunch from True-True Too BBQ while taking in the beautiful views of the ocean and sand dunes.

Can you spot some nature-inspired art under the pavilion? That is just a peek of the art that will fill these beautiful spaces, all drawn from the coral, seashells, fish and flowers that inform the architecture and also inspire Eleuthera’s local artists.

Tram Stop

Another early sight of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is one of our tram stops. This space will soon be filled with the bright colors that will light up the destination, inspired by the warmth of Bahamian art and culture. Expect hair braiding, merchandise and lots of fun.

When you visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, you’ll be immersed in elements of Bahamian culture. This special new island destination is inspired by Junkanoo, a longstanding Bahamian tradition celebrating the unique culture of this beautiful country.

Last week, I had the honor of traveling to Eleuthera for the island’s Junior Junkanoo competition, where Bahamian students across the island create costumes and parade banners from crepe paper and cardboard and compete alongside other schools in vibrant, energetic performances. From the bright colors and dancing to traditional Junkanoo sounds of goat skin drums and cowbells, it was an incredible experience to see the excitement and creativity from the students as they celebrated their culture and how the community came together to support this tradition.

Here’s a glimpse of the magic of Junior Junkanoo.

Disney has supported Junior Junkanoo since coming to Eleuthera to help preserve the Junkanoo tradition for generations to come. This year, Disney increased our support of Junior Junkanoo, and I experienced first-hand how much of an impact that made on this program and community.

In addition to providing funding, we showed the students that the talents and skills they used to create costumes and parade banners could lead to incredible creative, entertainment and design careers. We hosted a virtual workshop to bring students together with Disney creatives and Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett, who we recently shared designed the new Bahamian-inspired outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse to wear at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point when it opens this summer. During the workshop, students met with the team, exchanged creative design ideas as they finalized their Junkanoo costumes and learned about careers in the creative and entertainment industries.

Both as a Bahamian and Disney Cruise Line cast member, I’m excited for our guests from around the world to visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point to explore Eleuthera and join us in celebrating the rich Bahamian culture that makes our country unique.

The garments will have a distinct Bahamian flair, inspired by the bright, colorful spirit of Junkanoo, the country’s signature festival filled with joyous music and vibrant parades.

We have new details on some of the exciting places you’ll find at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point when it debuts in summer 2024! As soon as guests step foot on this breathtaking island destination, they will discover a celebration of Bahamian storytelling, artistry and culture. “For more than 100 years, Disney stories have filled the world with joy and wonder, capturing the hearts and imaginations of generations across every continent,” said Iger. “And since the launch of the Disney Cruise Line in 1998, our ships have become brand ambassadors that bring our world-class storytelling and the immersive nature of our theme parks to new audiences in new places all over the world.”

In a celebratory tribute to the adventurous stories represented onboard the new ship, Disney Cruise Line lit up the sky with drones depicting beloved Disney characters, including Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion, Genie from the Walt Disney Studios Animation film, “Aladdin” and Dante from the Pixar Studios film, “Coco.” Following a stunning performance by award-winning singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks, voices from across The Walt Disney Company recited a blessing to bestow good fortune upon the Disney Treasure and its travelers, while a bottle of champagne created from glimmering drones sparkled across the sky. This finale embodied the longstanding maritime tradition of christening, when a godparent blesses a ship before its maiden voyage. In this case, The Walt Disney Company cast, crew, Imagineers and employees around the world have the honorary role of godparent for the Disney Treasure. The Disney Treasure will set sail on its maiden voyage next month on Dec. 21, 2024, bringing adventurous stories from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and Disney Parks to life at sea. The impressive lineup of new venues includes the first ever bar inspired by the Haunted Mansion a theatrical dining experience themed to the Pixar Studios film, “Coco,” and an original Broadway-style stage show honoring the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Moana.”

This year’s float design features the bows of eight Disney Cruise Line ships, with the focal point being the highly anticipated Disney Treasure which will sail on its Maiden Voyage in December! The float celebrates the growing Disney Cruise Fleet, including the five ships currently sailing and the three set to debut this year and next – Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure.  It also showcases the unprecedented growth of Disney Cruise Line, which recently announced that the fleet will expand to 13 ships by 2031!

Leading the way atop the float will be Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse. The famous duo will be joined by a number of special guests who represent the stories and experiences that will be brought to life onboard the Disney Treasure, including Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Miguel, and Moana.

Known for the Broadway style shows on board its ships, it’s only fitting for Disney Cruise Line to bring a taste of its magical entertainment to the streets of New York. Spectators at the Parade and those tuning in at home will be treated to a toe-tapping number starring Mickey, Minnie and their pals from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco,” Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast” and more. The melody of memories from favorite Disney films will build to a confetti-filled finale set to the magnetic new Disney Treasure anthem, “Live the Adventure.”

Last week, content creators Melizza Black and Michelle Nhu became the first to try on pieces from the new collections, both styling unique cruise looks by mixing and matching pieces from their own closets. And with the maiden voyage just a few months away, now is the time to grab inspiration for your vacation wardrobe!

The Adventures Ahoy Collection includes a range of playful apparel pieces for everyone in the family, themed accessories and homeware items. The designs showcase bespoke artwork of Captain Mickey Mouse, Captain Minnie Mouse and their daring pals, all donning their voyage-ready ensembles. The new line is inspired by the Disney Treasure’s theme of adventure and the many spaces onboard that will bring memorable Disney stories to life.

Michelle layered a fashion top from the collection over a white skirt, completing her look with the Mickey Mouse Adventure hat. Her hat perfectly matches the hat worn by the Adventure Mickey Mouse Plush!

The Disney Treasure Logo Collection takes inspiration from the ship’s namesake, featuring gold hues and glitter. Dazzling new Loungefly accessories will add a touch of glamour to any outfit with a 3D gemstone print. Apparel pieces in this line also feature a shimmer effect that is sure to refract the Caribbean sunlight perfectly on your next cruise.

Melizza paired the Treasure Bling Headband with the Treasure Bling Loungefly and a flowy brown skirt. And Michelle opted for pinstriped trousers and a macramé belt to complement her Treasure Bling Fashion Top. Michelle finished her blue ensemble with the Adventures Ahoy Loungefly Backpack, showing how you can mix pieces from different collections!

The Disney Treasure Inaugural Collection will allow guests to commemorate the debut season of Disney Cruise Line’s stunning new ship. The items in this line boast a jewel-toned color scheme, reminiscent of the ship’s Agrabah-inspired Grand Hall and Princess Jasmine’s iconic royal garb. Bookings for the Disney Destiny will open Sep. 12, and today we’re sharing must-know dates and details about the ship’s maiden voyage and inaugural itineraries so you can start mapping out your own epic vacations!

 

The Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 20, 2025. Not only will this special four-night cruise be your first opportunity to experience all this ship has to offer, but it will also include stops at both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations in The Bahamas – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!

The maiden voyage will be followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Every sailing will include a day of fun in the sun at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay — some itineraries will even visit both! — and select cruises will feature more sun-soaked relaxation and warm-weather adventure in Nassau, Bahamas, or Cozumel, Mexico.
