Heading down to Vero for Spring Training this upcoming March and wanted to know if anyone has any good/casual restaurants near the resort? I know Disney has dining onsite, but wanted to venture out in the surrounding area.

It’s been a number of years since I was there - but I recall eating at a pizza place that was housed in what was an old gas station - and we liked it.
We did do the onsite doing one evening and it was decent. I’m having trouble remembering any of the other places we went unfortunately!

Thanks anyway....I remember from last time we were there over 10 years ago they had 2 places onsite plus poolside but didn't have time to checkout the area.
We are spoiled because visiting Hilton Head there are so many walkable/bikeable areas near that resort.

There is not a whole lot within walking distance, you will have to drive to get to anywhere nice. There are quite a few good places inland across the Indian River. We have also driven south into Vero Beach to find places. That said anywhere off site will be cheaper.

As others have noted, there aren't really any dining spots outside of the Disney's Vero Beach complex that are really close by - you'll need to drive a good 15-20 minutes to find other dining options.
