We arrived at EPCOT close to opening. Parked, assembled the scooter and headed to the entrance. First stop was Soarin with a posted 45 minute wait. We were in line for a little less than 30 minutes. This was the first time to ride this for us. it was a neat experience even with an Eiffel Tower that leaned over as we approached it. After Soarin' we took advantage of a very short wait time on the boat ride and rode Living With the Land. We then proceeded to World Showcase for the Food and Wine Festival with a focus on sampling different foods that we would share. Our first stop was Bramblewwod Bites (between Imagination and World Showcase) where we had the Grilled Cider-brined Pork Tenderloin, the Grilled Bison, and the Cast Iron-roasted Brussel Sprouts and Root Vegetables... all of which were very good). As we headed toward Canada, it began to rain so we headed into the Circle Vision theatre to see the Canada film. It was still raining as we exited the Circle Vision film so we moved into the UK and toured the shops as the rain continued to fall. We decided to drive through to Morocco, bypassing France for the time being. It was in Morocco that we had our first sign of trouble. Even though I had sufficient rain coverings for me and for the scooter, I experienced a timeframe of about 30 minutes that I would get an error when attempting to run my scooter. A call to Gold Mobility went to voice mail and I NEVER received a call back. (when we were at Disney in September 2021, we used Gold Mobility with no issues... in fact our prior experience is why I didn't explore other options this year). From Morocco, we moved to The American Adventure, a performance by the Voices of Liberty and I went to the American Adventure show while Charlene and Monica explored World Showcase. After the show I grabbed a Sam Addams Lager while I waited on them to meet me. We proceeded to Italy, Germany, and China sampling food and investigating the shops along the way. By this time it was starting to get dark and we began to seek a spot to observe "Luminous, A Symphony of Us", the scooter got us into the special viewing area in front of the outposts at the entrance to World Showcase from whatever Future World is called now. We watched the show, headed to the exit and called it a night. Overall, it was a good day.
Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or imbeciles who really mean it - Mark Twain
A nice Epcot day despite the rain and the issues with your scooter.
