Blizzard or Typhoon?
Been to the World numerous times, but have never done a water park. This coming June, we are planning to hit a waterpark. Pros/cons for Blizzard Beach vs. Typhoon Lagoon? Do they both pretty much have the same type rides? No young kids in our group (14, 15, 19,and three 50+ adults). Would love your advice.....

For those ages I would go with BB. But they are both a lot of fun!
-
They both have slides, BB has taller ones. TL has the big wave pool and the Crush 'n Gusher coaster-like slide. But BB has Teamboat Springs, which is a really long big raft family raft ride, much, bigger and better than TL's raft ride. It's always hard for me to choose, so we always visit both if possible. You can't go wrong choosing either one!

When my kids were younger we found there was more for them to do at BB. As teens they definitely prefer TL. They can spend all day in the wave pool alone!
-
We like TL best, but you can't go wrong with whatever water park you pick!
Have fun:mickey:

Personally I like TL, but I am also from the Northeast so I see MORE than enough snow...The last thing I want is to see more! I also really enjoy swimming through shark reef.... It scares the heck out of me but really cool experience!:shark::scared:
-
i have also never been to the waterparks on any of my many trips...considering but idk if worth getting the waterpark and more tickets since the resorts have a pool..so i was just looking at both and interested to see opinions here too..:haha:i was thinking the same thing about BB cause of the snow in PA..

WE prefer TL, but both are really good.

We did both last time and preferred TL. The wave pool and swimming with sharks were a big plus. Also found BB was a lot more climbing and spread out.
-
As our daughter got older we liked TL better than BB.

We are planning on going for the first time this year also. Is it possible to do both in the same day? After reading this, can't decide which one to do.
-
If we got to the first water park at opening we wouldd definitely have time to do both in one day.
However, we like to split them up. We like half days at a water park, then relaxing the rest of the day, with a nice dinner that night. Also, my family really only likes to do water parks for a few hours a day, 4 hour max. It's doable, but depends on if you are up for a full day of water parks.

We prefer TL... I am from Boston and I have seen enough snow to last a life time so the Blizzard Beach theme does not appeal to me! I also really enjoy swimming with the sharks. :shark:

T.L. no question!!:mickey:

For toddler age, I think BB has the best experience. And you can easily hold them in your lap on the big family raft ride, Teamboat Springs, which is my favorite "slide" in either water park.

We prefer BB, but it's been a while since we've to TL. We hit the water parks every visit and think the add on to the ticket is worth the extra cost. Unlike our friends from the North who don't appreciate the theming at BB, being from Georgia we rarely get to see the "white stuff" so we really like the theme.
As for the rides BB has or did have (some other water park may have now built a taller one) the tallest water slide in the country and it is always a teen favorite along with many other rides.
One responder here asked about doing both parks in one day. I just read that Disney is about to add direct bus service from one water park to the other instead of only going to resorts or theme park locations. That in itself will save an hour of travel time and make 2 in 1 day much more feasible.
