Your Top 7!
I love fun threads like this. So for my post #3456, it just makes sense to have a post about 7, right? I know. Stretching. Just roll with it. Let's hear your Top 7 attractions at Disney World. And yes, they can be food! Part of the WDW charm is all that good stuff to eat.
#1. Illuminations - I would skip every other attraction to see this show.
#2. Tower of Terror - So much better than it's DL sister.
#3. Splash Mt. - Greatest combo of Dark Ride and Thrill Ride
#4. Kilimanjaro Safaris - This ride never gets old.
#5. Wishes - There's something about that music build up and then the trumpet blast "Wishes!"
#6. Voice of Liberty - For a lifelong vocalist, this group/experience is tops.
#7. Expedition Everst - Man, I wish they had something like this at DL.
World Showcase Players would've made this list had they not gotten the axe. Bring them back!

After consulting with my DW and DD9, here is our family's Top 7:
1. Rockin' Roller Coaster - Fast, no drops, good story, great music. All the thrills, none of the hills.
2. Artist Point - Best gluten-free meal ever (including the bread)
3. Soarin' - So unique, so fun. It's the *only* ride I've ever been on that gets applause at the end.
4. Kilimanjaro Safaris - Agree with the OP. Great ride, fun CMs, and animals are always interesting.
5. Stormalong Bay - Holy cow is that a great pool area. Different kinds of pools...sand bottomed, lazy river, great water slide, multiple hot tubs, etc. Just fantastic.
6. Splash Mountain - It's fun, repeatable, interesting every single time, and has thrills.
7. Toy Story Midway Mania - Great way to combine technologies. 3D, video games, dark ride, and never quite the same ride twice!

I just realized I messed up my 1st post! Top 7 doesn't mean a top ten list.
I will drop the Frozen ride. It might take a bit of time before we put this up there with Horizons (which I rode & loved.)
Take off Kid-cot...I can  elsewhere.
Then...Everest. Joe Rhode did a fantastic job with the theming, but it can't match the others.
This was fun.

Here's my top 7; but some of these experiences are seasonal. It's really hard to list just seven.
1. Riding Splash Mountain at night, during Wishes. This is our family's absolute favorite experience at WDW. It happened to us by accident (didn't know fireworks times) on our first trip together, and now we make sure to do it on every trip.
2. Watching Wishes from Main Street, with a Casey's hot dog.
3. The Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Wow! Just Wow! It brought tears to my eyes.
4. Having Dinner at 'Ohana with a window table overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon and MK at fireworks time. (seeing a pattern here?). We were lucky enough to get a window table on Christmas night for dinner. A Magical meal!
5. Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Almost Indescribable Christmas experience.
6. Extra Magic hours at MK when the streets are nearly empty, rides are all "walk-on" and you feel like you almost have the park to yourselves.
7. Rock 'n Roller Coaster. I just love this ride.
-
This year will be the 40th anniversary of our first trip...and there are so many special memories.
...Special mention goes to Horizons and Toad, which held significant memories for us, but can't be included under the ROE. Note that those two, and my listed 7, were (are) special because of the memories of sharing them with my incredible family. Were I selfish, I would also have included WDW Railway, and TSMM...No one else in the family shares my addiction to them.
So, our shared 7, since 75
- Pirates...almost every scene holds memories from our many trips...
- Haunted Mansion...ditto..
- Splash...not an original, but now a long time tradition
- CoP...Just 'cause we never skip it.
- Space Mountain...Still laugh when I recall when DS heard DW swear for the first time ever in front of the kids
- Evening Parade at MK, in any format...special evenings with special people, from DMiL, and DW, and DK's, and DGK's
- Monorail...again, memories from the first trip, to all of the subsequent trips...
Not that I (we) don't love each of the other parks, but those 7 are always a first and last day Must Do...
-
