My favorite inexpensive souvenirs are park maps and WDW pens! ;):secret::blush:
Bucket of Aliens--best purchase for our little one. She loves them! Kind of a combo between army guys and those monkeys and they hurt just like legos when you step on them.:)
Popcorn buckets
You should probably go to an outlet mall. I've been to an outlet mall about 20 minutes away from WDW, and they have a character outlet, with that they have Disney items, I'm not sure if you'd consider it a souvenir.. but its a bargain! :) It has Disney items that can relate to Disney World items. It has bouncy balls, Disney T's, buttons, cards, etc. etc.
:goofy:
I like collecting Christmas tree ornaments at WDW. They're not that expensive (though not as inexpensive as some ideas here) and every family member picks one out. When the kids leave home, they will take their ornaments with them and have a start on their own holiday traditions.
We have a glass top coffee table with a drawer that displays items. We always put in little momentos in advance of a trip or holiday. The Disney tokens I have include postcards, toy monorail, keychains, etc. My neices and nephews love to open the drawer and pull out the monorail and other tokens and play with them!
I love my resort mugs and use them all the time!! They are usefull when at WDW and then when at home!
I always get earrings! I love the mickey studs with gems!
There is a shop in DTD between two buildings(more of a breezeway) that has many discounted items including a grad bag. I think it was $10 the last time I was there. You always get a variety of pens / pencils / stickers / etc. Well worth the $10 and a great mystery until you can open up the bag.
DW keeps all of the mugs and glasses she gets and uses them all the time.
DS always wants to bring back a souvenir for everyone in his class, so I collect the free Mickey stickers he always receives from cms and then I buy multipacks of cute pencils or pens, or candy if there aren't any students with allergies in his class. He likes passing everything out when he returns to school after a trip and I only spend around $10 for 20+ children.
I have found that some of the gift shopped have a small clearance section. I have bought acrylic salt and pepper shakers for 5.00 and other items just by looking around. Most of these dc'd items were in resort gift shops.
I will buy the card of hair pony tail bands that have the mickey head attached to them. I can use them all year long to pull back my hair and I think they are like $6 (alot for hair ties, I know, but I figure since I use them almost every day that I get my money's worth and I get reminded of Disney every time I use them!)
Pressed pennies!! My kids love them :)
Antenna toppers! :stitch2:Can't be beat for the price, last I knew about $4.00 each. I have one for each holiday, seasons, sports, etc. Another cute inexpensive gift/souvenear I found last year, a magnet - a black classic Mickey that displays units of measurements for cooking! We buy at least one magnet every year, inexpensive & there on our fridge for us to see a little bit of WDW every day! :mickey:
I must be really cheap because all of my favorite souvenirs are on this thread! I love the antenna toppers and I buy a new magnet every year (somehow 2005 got lost :( ). I love my Disney coffee mug and my latest purchase (in April) was a Minnie iced coffee cup (which my dog then ate). I love the little things you can bring home to remind you of Disney all year long :cloud9:
pens, pencils, shampoo and soaps from hotel stay. Resort mugs always a good use when we get home.
I love all the freebies in the room...soap, shampoo, pens, sometimes a resort post card, the disposable coffee cups...
Inexpensive ~ key chains, pins, mugs, buttons, car accessories
