Just thinking about our traditional first ride when we return to WDW...What is the first ride you ride when you return home!
:mickey:
Space mountain
Pirates! Have to say hello to all my friends!
If I am staying off property: it is the trams.
If I am staying on property: it is typically the busses:mickey: sometimes a boat or monorail.
Pirates Of The Caribbean!! :pirate:
We always arrive late morning from the airport, so we hit Animal Kingdom first since it only takes us half a day to visit this park. So we hit Everest first.
Spaceship Earth, Epcot!
Soarin' :mickey:
Thanks to my kids, it's Dumbo, but always after having breakfast with Pooh and friends.
:dumbo::tigger:
Depending on which park we decide to visit first
Epcot ....Soarin
MK ... Pirates
DHS ... Tower of Terror
AK .... Everest
We ALWAYS start our First Day with where it all began.....the Magic Kingdom. Our FIRST RIDE is Pirates Of The Caribbean! :pirate:
There Be Squalls Ahead! :secret:
33 days and yes.......we're counting!
Pirates of the Caribbean! Have to do this ride first thing.
We also usually do Pirates first. Nice way to ease into a Disnet week.
The ride from the airport to WDW! :mickey:
At MK, Buzz or Dumbo.
It's almost always Space Mountain, wether it be Disneyland or Disney World, but for my upcoming trip it won't be, as I'm working my theme park visits in around something else, and EPCOT will be my first park as it's the one open for EMH on the first night.
When it was just my wife and I, it use to be It's Tough To Be A Bug. We'd catch an early flight from Pittsburgh, hop in a rental, check in (pre-register), get to the bus station and go to Animal Kingdom. After lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, we'd go straight for ITTBAB.
Since we've had children, that has changed. This year, we will go to Epcot after check-in so Spaceship Earth will be our first ride. It will also be my DS17mos' first Disney Ride EVER!
I'm usually in the situation where I'm showing people the parks for the their first visit - in these cases I always have a similar itenerary for each park....not necessarily romantic choices but practical for a good fastpass-lead structure:
Epcot: Living with the Land (having got a fastpass for Soarin)
MK: Snow White's Scary Adventures followed by Carousel - however old the guests they need to be started with a bit of Fantasyland magic.
Studios: Great Movie Ride (having fastpassed TSM)
AK: Tough to Be a Bug (having fastpassed KS)
When I'm on my own I always begin by sitting downs somewhere quiet and people-watching and just enjoying the fact that I'm there.
Since we try and hit MK first, Jungle Cruise and Pirates.
If Epcot, TestTrack or Spaceship though we get the Soarin FastPass first.
MGM, Star Tours
AK- Then we have to do the Safari.
We don't have one that we do first. We go to a different park each time too depending on what time we get there and what time the parks close. :mickey:
Buzz lightyear
